A movie which can be watched less than once , it does redeem
itself in the second half. Backround music is quite good. All these
apologetics for Islam get a few lusty blows against it by error. It
quotes a few benign verses of the quran but doesnt mention thousands
cursing unbelievers and promoting war 'till the whole world is
Islamic'' Quran.
San Francisco is shown really well.

I heard him interviewed on the radio this morning about the movie.

His motivation was not so much to promote islam but to explain why new
york 911 was not the actions of the average muslim one would encounter
in daily life.

That is why his character repeated to all he encountered that he was not
a terrorist.

Now if we could only encounter everyone who is not a terrorist or one
who encourages terrorism or excuses those who perform terrorist acts.
Or those who in one broad brush make all of one group the same as the
few who are terrorists.

This regardless of religion or place of origin. There are enough
examples to go around and none escape their responsibility in this
effort.

Already declared a big hit in India. Hindus should welcome movies
like these which pretend they are promoting a peaceful image of Islam
but in fact highlight its cruel dogmatic anti women , anti kaffir ,

Hindus should NOT boycott this movie. When the Hindu motel owner in
Atlanta berates SRK (unfairly) and says whites are vandalising his
property because of Muslims terrorism , he is making a very valid
point.
In the next 9/11 we Hindus will be killed in revenge attacks
mistaken for being Muslim. That is why we must encourage all muslims
to reconvert to Hinduism

My Name is Khan has become Bollywood's most successful box office
opener in the UK.

The movie was released in a storm of controversy after a row between
its star - Shah Rukh Khan - and Shiv Sena, a hardline Hindu party in
India.

But it has already grossed more than �936,000 since hitting screens
and entered the UK Box Office charts at number six.

The film also took $2.3m (�1.2m) in the US over the four-day holiday
weekend.

release and consequently it opened amid tight security in Mumbai.

My Name is Khan is a rare Indian film to get the backing of Hollywood
distributors, 20th Century Fox.

In the film, Khan plays a Muslim with Asperger's syndrome whose life
changes after the 11 September attacks in the US.

He stars opposite Kajol, who plays a single Hindu mother who falls in
love with Khan.

The film was the fourth highest new entry in the UK behind Valentine's
Day, The Wolfman and Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning
Thief.

Valentine's Day went straight in at number one as it grossed �3.7m
and, although it averaged �8,640 across 432 sites, My Name is Khan
averaged �10,291 across 91 sites.

The previous record for a Bollywood film in its opening period in the
UK was held by Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna which grossed nearly �750,000,
and also starred Shah Rukh.
