There seemed to be no end to the list, some legitimate but others like
-- lights-on in cinemas (to stop couples from using the theatre as a
one-stop lust-satiation centre); discouraging employers from hiring
beautiful women (they are more in demand as wives so their husbands
can take care of them); forbidding women from wearing make-up (they
should only look beautiful for their spouses); banning female
performances and separate counters in supermarkets (to prevent contact
between men and women) -- bordered on extremism and male chauvinism.
