While rewatching _Definitely, Maybe_ with perhaps 1/4
of my attention (I work at home a great deal), I am
reminded how often we are let down by our presidents.

How can anyone not nominate _To the Wonder_ as the
best film of the year after watching the first 30 ecstatic minutes of it? The rest of the film is surprisingly downbeat --
perhaps surprising only because I read A.O. Scott's
review (something I usually avoid) and he rants on

_Like Someone in Love_ leads me to a couple of films about
university academics and intellectuals (although quotes
may be needed around those words).
