LOOKING FOR FILMS WHICH TAKE PLACE ON AIRPLANES

Hi there,

I am looking for films which take place in whole or at least mostly on
airplanes
which are in flight. It may be films of any genre, as long as they are
in English.

Any suggestions?

Probably the definitive onboard airplane film with John Wayne, Robert
Stack and a host of movie stars.

SST Death Flight

The TV Miniseries The Langoliers dealt with an airliner that IIRC
somehow slipped thru a crack in the space/time continuum.

Wings, the first Oscar-winning film

Millennium, late 80's B sci-fi film about people from the future who
travel back in time to pull people out of airliners just before they
crash, and take them back to their time to populate an Earth that is
ravaged by disease and contamination.

Fail-Safe and Dr. Strangelove have quite a bit of flying scenes in
them. The Right Stuff also has a lot of flying sequences, mostly
surrounding Chuck Yeager.

Airplane II: The Sequel!

That and a 1983 movie, "Starflight One", were set on variations of a
National Aerospace Plane, from the days when it was thought to be
commercially viable to build something faster than the Concorde.

I imagine that's the limit of the question; opening it up to the Space
Shuttle, spacecraft, spaceships, and starships spreads the field too
wide.
