Hey Sarver, isn't it ironic that I got quite a few replies for my question?
It may be pretentious sounding topic to u, but hey...u point it out
yourself, it's only "pretentious sounding" but it was intended as a serious
question. Perhaps too serious for this newsgroup but this is my 1st time
trying out newsgroups so I didn't know any better. Anyways, it sure beats
posting pretentious-obnoxious replies!

To every1 who replied, thanks alot for your help!!!! learnt alot from your
suggestions....I just thought that many people who enjoy films in general
would have interests & insights to more non-mainstream stuff as well. I'm
actually debating whether to do a paper on Neo-realism or French New Wave
(which I think is more exciting but harder to do.....stuff like mixing
genres, self conscious techniques like iris shots, freeze frames, wipes,
fast & slow motion...flashbacks...leaps of time.) The FNW was influenced by
hollywood but I'm sure it influenced Hollywood as well...to a greater extent
that neo-realism..which up til now..i see more like an ideology than film
aesthetics...styles....(shucks..i have deviated from The Matrix
again!!!!!!!!!)
