Michael Moore's latest movie "Capitalism, a Love Affair" bombed at the box
office. Life time gross revenue was only $14M which is amazing given all
the hype the movie received from he lunatic liberal left. However,
Moore's spokesperson said that Moore was thrilled with the result because
he estimated it would keep him in Hostess Twinkies and Ho Hos for the for
the rest of the year.

What are the typical expectations for documentaries' box office takes?

I sure hope "Irish Mike" figures this out before he looks stupid again!

I wonder if his schadenfreude post implies that Moore isn't spot-on with
his message?

My point was that the vast majority of docs never see even as much as
a nominal "selected cities" release. I don't actually know how
CAPITALISM stacks up against other Moore box-office, but $14m (for a
non-election fueled doc that's already in *my* dvd-queue, anyway)
doesn't sound like a stake in the heart ...I could be wrong.

What I don't like is the Obama change:

Highest deficits in American history
Highest unemployment in 26 years
Biggest pork barrel spending bill in American history (which was passed
without being read)
A $2.5 trillion dollar big government take over of the American health
care system
A cost increasing, job killing cap & tax energy bill
Higher taxes for middle class Americans when Obama doesn't renew the Bush
tax cuts
Giving Iran a green light to develop a nuclear weapon
Idiotic decision to move terrorist trials to NYC at a tax payer cost of
$75M for the first year
Giving al Queada a prime time, full color propaganda platform and
recruiting tool
Obama's decision to declare war on Fox News and free speech in America
Obama's promise to give a corrupt organization like ACORN a seat at the
policy making table
Playing politics with our soldiers lives in Afghanistan

Irish Mike

Proud to be one of the 60,000,000 Americans who did not vote for Obama.

"But Bush" doesn't cut it any more. This is Obama's economy and he was
the one who ran on his campaign promise to turn it around. Not to mention
the fact that the Democrats controlled congress, and spending, for the
last two years of the Bush administration. They also controlled all of
the banking and finance committees and Barney Frank and Chris Dodd were
the two Democrat buffoons who ran F-mae and F-mac straight in to the
ground.

> > Highest unemployment in 26 years

> old days when ketchup was a vegetable. (So was the President.)

Reagan pulled the country out of a recession, won the cold war, was
instrumental in getting the Berlin wall torn down and he created
20,000,000 new private sector jobs. He did it by cutting taxes, cutting
capital gains and working with American industry to increase business
development and create new jobs. Compare that to Obama idiotic, and
disastrous, financial plan of trying to spend his way out of a recession
with borrowed tax payer money.

Biggest pork barrel spending bill in American history (which was passed
> > without being read)
>

> And yet, queerly, the bridge to nowhere was a GOP invention.

Obama promised to end ear-mark spending and then passed a $789 billion
dollar pork barrel bill that had more than 8,300 ear-marks. He and the
Democrats jammed it through and not a single one of them read it before
they voted it through. Since it was signed we have lost more than
3,000,000 private sector jobs. And the job numbers the Obama
administration tried to say they created were proven so false and bogus
that even they were embarrassed. Like spending r$12,000,000 in Nevada to
create six jobs. Or claiming they created 189 jobs in Congressional
districts that don't exist.

>
>
> > A $2.5 trillion dollar big government take over of the American health

> > Has that happened already? When did you back to the future, Marty McFly?

It will because Obama and his crew of political thugs have promised
hundreds of millions in special projects and kickbacks to buy enough
Democrat votes to get it passed. And all of Obama's bull shit promises
about transparency and partisanship were proven to be as false as his
campaign promise to provide a middle class tax cut. Harry Reid and a hand
full of Democrats created that 2,000 page plus monstrosity behind closed
doors. Republicans were not allowed any input at all and their
alternative health care proposal was never even considered. The Democrats
now only need 51 votes to pass it in the senate which they will do on a
straight party line vote. $500 billion in tax increases, $490 billion in
Medicare cuts, higher insurance premiums and absolutely not tort reform
because the Trial Lawyers are among the Democrat's biggest cash
contributors.

> > A cost increasing, job killing cap & tax energy bill

If it doesn't it won't be because Obama didn't try to get it passed. If
it fails you can thank the Conservative Americans who turned out in town
hall meeting and anti-tax protests all across the country. Not that Obama
and his crew of Chicago-style political thugs didn't criticize, ridicule
and disparage these American citizens every chance they got - with full
assistance from MSNBC and the rest of the lame-stream press.
Athe idiotic thing

Bullshit! Obama has already said he will not renew the Bush tax cuts.
And that will raise taxes on every working, tax paying middle class family
in America.

Obama is considered weak by America's enemies and is not trusted by our
allies. Iran made a fool of Obama and has insulted him to his face
multiple times. All Obama has accomplished is to increase Iran's sphere
of influence in the middle east and weaken America's influence with our
allies in Eastern Europe.

I know that KSM has already plead guilty at a military hearing and was set
to be tried in a military tribunal which congress had approved. I know
Obama made the decision to move the trial to NYC for purely personal
reasons. I know he has given al Queada, Hamas, Hezbollah and the Taliban
a greater propaganda and recruiting tool they could have ever dreamed of
getting with out Obama's help. I know we had the biggest muslim terrorist
attack on American soil since 9/11 and that Obama has put a gag order on
using the words muslim or terrorist.

>

Muslim terrorists hated and feared Bush and Cheney. They laugh at Obama
but they don't fear him. The Ft. Hood muslin terrorist attack is on
Obama's head. The difference is that Bush and Cheney focused on fighting
muslim terrorists. Obama is focused on fighting Fox News and attacking
the CIA.

The interview Sarah Palin did with Katic Couric was more than two hours
long. The lame-stream, liberal, in the tank for Obama media edited it and
showed nine minutes. If you look at Sarah Palin's record of
accomplishments and her job approval rating when she was Governor of
Alaska, (which we both know you never will) it far exceeds any thing Obama
did during his time as a senator, or as an ACORN organizer.

That is ACORN. The crooked, disgraced and totally corrupt organization
that Obama worked for. Of course now ACORN is like Jeremiah Wright.
Obama was involved with them for twenty years but never had a clue how
corrupt they were.

> > Playing politics with our soldiers lives in Afghanistan

> Now you're just trying to be laughable.

Bush had a complete in-depth study done of the situation in Afghanistan
and Pakistan in the fall of 2008. They handed the study over to Obama
and, at his request, they never published it. Obama thanked them by
stabbing them in the back and then taking their data and announcing in
March, 2009 that he was implementing a whole new strategy in Afghanistan.
Obama fired the previous general and then appointed general McChrystal.
He then ignored the guy until August 20th when McChrystal said he needed
more troops. And for the past 14 weeks Obama has been trying to figure
out the best political move he can make.

Irish Mike

Obama has decided to send 40,000 additional troops to fight in the war
against Fox News.

You know the only way to get the deficit down is by cutting military
spending. That means that you don't start useless wars in countries far away
under false pretences. In stead that money should be spent on health care
and paying down the deficit.

I am from Norway and the day Bush left office one of the largest newspapers
in the country ran a two page piece called "finally he is gone. He will be
remembered as a icecold ideologue", they said. I am not sure if it was right
giving Obama the Peace Prize, but one cannot underestimate the feelings of
joy around the world when Bush left office. One can compare it to the fall
of the Berlin wall. As for the terrorists, I think they will always be
around. It is really a matter of containing them. Unless the US wants to be

First, who gives a fuck what Norway thinks? Second, the Nobel Peace Prize
became a meaningless joke when it was awarded to Obama when he was sworn

That's interesting--a muslim homocidal maniac is somehow worse than the
legions of white folks killing people in our country on a daily basis.

Oh, and prior to 9/11 the worst terrorist act in the U.S. been committed
by a white guy. Would you describe yourself as a racist idiot, "Mike"?
