I gave it a 4 out 5 for special effects, but a 2 out of 5 for storyline
and 1 out of 5 for direction and plot.
It's a bad movie when you're cheering for the "heros" to all get killed and
yelling at the screen "you stupid mofo!".
I'ts like the director is about 25 something, and he went to the same
cheap, 2 week director's course at a liberal arts JC taught by lazy, stupid
liberals who's last accomplishment was directing a hippity hoppity crowd of
drug addicts on MTV to do rap and shuffle along like bad "native" actors
out of a 1930's Tarzan movie.
Tired tired old plot devices to make you feel anxious and scared and
involved...which simply means now days that you cheer for the bad guys and
want the heros to die.
To the kid who's the typical sullen, disrespectful boy who never obey's
orders even if his familie's life depends on it, to the pussy liberal daddy
who, of course, is an Author who writes (can't be a plumber or someone
useful to society!) to the requisite bad guy who tells it like it is to all
the whining, mewling puking liberal genetic defectives who want to open the
gates, let everyone one, we have enough, oh the humanity, if we don't then
we're not human ad nauseum.
I was actually BORED during most of the action scenes.
Total for the movie?
2 out of 5 stars.

Halloween epic. Last occasion: when the
Really Bad Guy bites the dust (permanently?)
while I was reading Iris Johansen's "Deadlock."

Most movies these days that seek to create "tension, adversity and drama"
simply make me root for the bad guys, the "good" guys being an amalgram
composite of what 20 something liberal Crappywood boiz-2-infants think is
drama and exiting.
Jittery cameras, muliple cameras, closeups, bad sound, mumbling barely
litterits with pouty lips and "dreamy" good looks, all make most movies
these days deadly boring and forgettable.
The contrast is stark when you watch HDMovies on tv with a big screen and
sound system.
The long panarama shots, the holding of the camera on the actor, REAL
actor, the nuances, the real building of drams, PLOT AND STORY, much more.
No cgi effects needed, just good direction, camara work and no zoom lens
crippling and stifling creativity.
The more electronics and whizbangs, the more deadly the boredom factor
imho.
While great cgi effects can enhance a movie, they can't make a movie.
Multiplying an army of 150 actors into 40,000 is pretty cool, and making
Rome come back to life, monsters creeping around, space ships flying,
astroids exploding, all good.
But 2 hours of it?
Yawn.
So, with very bad, lazy barely literate writing and a liberal's sense of
drama, I end up rooting for the bad guy, because I'm so polarized by the
system now that the bad guy looks more like the good guy every day.
I'm not talking about chainsaw munching retards with fetishes to carve out
the entrails of stupid idiotic liberal women who lay there screaming "you
can't do this! I have mah rats!". I'm talking about the bad corporate
guy, the bad boss, the bad white man who's evil and grasping and gasp!
RICH! Those kind of "bad " guys who do bad things, like, tell it like it
is, practice darwinian politics/business/social relationships.
I'm off to the movies now...to see HDMOVIES and some great real movies,
like Clint Eastwoods Pale Rider and such.

written. The effects were great, but there were simply too much of them. Now
I am going to take some asperin and try to forget the experience.
