Last week I saw this TV-program about a painter who only painted peoples
faces. Many of them - and in as many different styles as possible. I didn't
get his name, but I was so fascinated of his work that I'd love to see more
of it. I guess he was in his 40's (50's?), and he had had an accident so he
had to use a wheelchair. His huge paintings were set up on a "spinning wall"
so that he could turn it around to reach all of it as he painted. A lot of
the painted faces were "built" by small squares and if you stood close up to
the painting, there was no chance you could see what the motive was.
I know maybe this doesn't make much sense, but please; if anyone knows who
I'm talking about - let me know.
