They used our tax dollars to do it and no one did anything to stop it.
Bush , Mccain, Obama, Lieberman, Hillary, Dodd... the list goes on and on.
The only thing that ties these names together is that they all have received
bribe
contributions in the sums of hundres of thousands of dollars from these
bankers
and insurance companys.
They have crossed a line with us that they never should have crossed.
Our fate has sealed in the form of a hyper inflationary depression.
Do not think for one minnute that this was not done by design.
Printing paper money with nothing to back it up = the american dollar
becoming more worthless by the day.
I would like just once to go to the supermarket without over hearing people
talking about stocking up on fire armes and food but thats the way it's been
over the
past few weeks. The democrats and republicans dont care about us. Get used

They are all bought and paid for. We are on our own now. If there has ever
been a
time for ALL americans to unite, IT IS NOW.
It's us against them now. It doesnt mater what party you support anymore.
They both see us as petty shit who should serve them and the international

People think I'm a heartless bastard because I don't think the
goverment should have stepped in. Sorry, but thats the risks you take
with investments. This is only the start of the problems and things
will get much worse and neither the democrats or republicans can do
anything about it.

I have seen several so-called economics experts report lately that this
problem stated about 15 years ago. Let's see, who was the President
then?? Same administration that gave us Enron, Worldcom, and several
other corporations that had to be prosicuted by the currents
administration. As bad as this latest problem is, I don't what else we
could have done. It would have really hurt the U.S economy.

I guess you can thank the GOP for voting against their own leadership
and shooting down a bill that would have socialized a major portion of
the American economy. Funny thing is that the Dem's are blaming the
Republicans when they had 95 of their own vote against this perverted bill.

Sis

Nope, not blaming anybody. They had a little deal that it had to pass
both sides so that nobody would take the blame for it passing or not
passing. Those who depend on a deal get screwed when it doesn't work
out. Just ask the people on Big Brother!

What NOBODY gets.... is that IF YOU had any accumen... you can trace
TODAY... back to the previous administration.

I can ABSOLUTELY give YOU examples.

I know... I LIVED THROUGH THEM.

I'm sorry.. what political party did what to whom?

As if THAT makes ANY difference to YOU or ME.

I love it when people try to say it's about the OTHER party. Like
THAT makes a difference in the REAL WORLD.

THAT IS WHY ONE SHOULD VOTE.... INDEPENDENT.

There ya go... blaming the current situation on the sitting
president. What you don't get is that THIS sitting president didn't
CREATE the plummeting economy.

Btw? Why doesn't anyone ever blame ANYTHING on the Legislature?

Two points. The Congress voted on going to war. I can't commit to
the NAME of the committee (of legislators) that made it LAW that it
didn't MATTER whether or not a citizen (or not) had the ABILITY to pay
a mortgage, that citizen could get a mortgage. Just ask Barney Frank
of Massachusetts.

Hell...One wants a house! THAT'S THE AMERICAN WAY. Screw whether or
not THAT person can actually PAY for it. NOT ONLY THAT???? Fannie
Mae and Freddie Mac will figure it all out..

It amazes me that the BLAME is put on President Bush. He - ULTIMATELY
- couldn't have done it without YOUR appointees!

Mr Zorb.

Not really. Congress voted in favor of the Authorization for Use of
Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002 (Enrolled as Agreed to
or Passed by Both House and Senate)[H.J.RES.114.ENR].

I hate to be the one to tell you (no, I don't), but the authorization
to use force is not the same as a declaration of war. There is a
difference, albeit a small one, but a difference nonetheless.

Well, I see you don't have me kill-filed anymore.

Hey, take a moment and read this: "The most important source of New
Deal revenue were excise taxes levied on alcoholic beverages,

cigarettes, matches, candy, chewing gum, margarine, fruit juice, soft
drinks, cars, tires (including tires on wheelchairs), telephone calls,

movie tickets, playing cards, electricity, radios -- these and many
other everyday things were subject to New Deal excise taxes, which
meant that the New Deal was substantially financed by the middle class
and poor people." Sound familiar? It should. One would think that
you might point out the web site where you gleaned a good portion of
this screed from, but didn't give any attribution:

If you were in a class in college and submitted this as a paper, you
would likely be expelled for violating the honor code due to

Think about it...our roads bridges...dams...schools...hospitols...etc/
infrastructure is in need of repair and will soon reach the point of
needing replacement if we continue to ignore these repairs. Why are we
spending Billions to repair what we blow up or the enemy blows up
there instead of here?
It's a proven fact that every dollar spent on war is worth five
spent in the private sector. Imagine all the jobs we would create by
spending our tax money on us. It's worked before and can work again.
It's a win win policy to spend at home and not for a country that has
enough money to take care of itself.

Here's a rebuttal, of sorts. The numbers Powell sites appear to be
fairly accurate. Our country, however, is about much more than just a
series a numbers and talking points. Roosevelt is considered, by some
experts, to be one of the three greatest presidents our country has
known, behind Washington, and Lincoln. Roosevelt was elected to the
highest office in the land four times. The American people obviously
felt he was a terrible president and the country was far worse off
with him in office than it would have been with another person there.
That's why they elected him, and elected him, and elected him, and
then finally elected him a fourth time. I think that pretty much sums
it up.

This time I am going to do some name calling. You really are a dumbass.
Show me where I have ever stated that Fox is "fair and balanced". What I
have posted is that Fox is to the right, what CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, and the
network news is to the left. If you take the time to watch some of them
all, you will see that the truth is somewhere in the middle of them. All
the these so-called news services are agenda driven and have little
concern for what the truth really is, and that includes FOX.

BTW, I have never stated for whom my vote was going to. All I have
stated here is that those who believe things are going to be 100%
different if Obama gets elected are in for a rude awakening. I have
tried to show that he has not been totally truthful (in other words, he
lied) and has gone out of his way to cover things up, just as McCain has
done. I also asked some here to give me reasons to vote FOR Obama, and
not just reasons to vote AGAINST McCain. If all you want me to do is
vote against McCain, there are other candidates in this race.

The point is that we should...we could and sooner or later we will
have to. If we don't bridges, dikes, levies and dams will collapse at
an alarming rate over the next 20 years. No politics involved...just
plain old engineering facts.

On that point, you and I are in total agreement. Our elected leaders on
the Federal, State, and Local levels have let us down. Ask almost anyone
who lives in California about the condition of our roads and highways.
The money that was supposed to pay for the repairs was diverted to other
programs. Now that we are upwards of $16 Billion in debt, our state
government now says we don't have the money. The problem, we did have
it. We pay one of the highest state gas taxes in the country. That money
was to be used for our transportation infrastructure, roads, bridges,
etc. This is happening all over the country. I don't understand why our
Governments can't get their collective heads around the idea that it
will cost us less to do preventive maintenance, than wait until it's too
late and have to build something new.

Connecticut is right there with CA. We also allowed state gambling get
to the point where it's an epidemic addiction. All that money was
promised to only two things roads and schools. When I was a kid CT had
some of the best roads and the school system was second to none. Now
we have casinos, two daily numbers, cash five, lotto, power ball and
dozens of new scratch tickets each month or so. I can only imagine the
revenue this generates. Our roads and bridges are worse than ever and
our schools are second class. Our cities are some of the poorest and
most crime filled in the nation. I just don't understand the math.

While it may just be semantics, the "people" only elected Bush once.
The electoral college elected him twice. Go figure.

Funny thing, being a socialist at heart, I support all of the above. I
particularly like blaming capitalism for problems. Oh, and making you
uncomfortable is right up there, too. ;-)

Wait, I thought the Supreme Court elected him once.

I wouldn't know, but when floodwalls break, New Orleans gets flooded
( no pun intended )

As far as I know, had it been a levee that broke, it would have been
called a cravasse ( sp? ) as it was back in 1927 ( ?)

Growing up with the mixture of several languages, you might imagine
how much trouble I have with spelling.

George, we all have our idiosyncrasies. Joey, as I remember him, is a
little bit twisted, in his own lovable way. Me, as I remember me,
well, I'm more than a little bit twisted, in my own way. I try and
realize that we aren't all the same person, and thank the stars that
we aren't. Man, if I had to find my way through the forest, depending
on a whole buncha me kinda people - hell, I'd just shoot myself,
instead.

newsgroup search) on Joey Dingbat and what do you think came up but a
picture of Sarah Palin! I kid you not, try it! :-)
