Thanks, TOMike! The team was tight, in the beginning, but quickly got
untracked, and began playing Alabama football!
I'll be able to watch - out my office window - when they place the
next granite plaque commerating number thirteen. It will take a place
of honor in the "Walk of Champions," along with the other twelve. And,
of course, the addition of the thirteenth flag, high above
Bryant-Denney Stadium, will add to the collection of flags already
there, crisply blowing in the wind. Life is good in Tuscaloosa.
wow, thats something seldom heard :-)
It was a fun game!
Bands sucked though. ;-)

RE:
No way!!!!!
The Million Dollar Band rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(Here is
this last years show):
The Million Dollar Band has a couple of decent folks associated with
it. The names might be familiar to some folks here:
Neal Flum

Michael Klesch

Ummm, exactly what a college BAND should be IMHO, it ain't drum corps
or college honor bands international
Exactly! And thank you, everyone, for playing.
Bands should be bands. Drum corps should be drum corps!
Jackie
Mikey,
You should know me better than to think I would watch a band for no
reason! I just saw two of them last night. I'm glad you all loved your
bands. Now keep drum corps from looking like that!
Jackie
So, is that the explanation for why drum corps are looking more and more
like bands? Not impressive at all to me. Drum corps shouldn't look
like bands.
The football definitely looked like football though. That was impressive!
Congratulations, JB!
Jackie
I agree with you. And, thanks, although I didn't have much to do with
their success on the field.
Never underestimate the power of the fans...nice rooting JB...well
done:)

As a side note: I'm a life long Notre Dame fan. I live in Connecticut
and am a life long fan of our Basketball teams. In the last five years
UCONN has stepped it's football program up to Div. 1 and built a new
stadium... This year UCONN traveled to Southbend and beat ND at
home...talk about bitter sweet. On one hand...It was the greatest
victory in UCONN football history and on the other it was the last
dagger in my storied programs heart.... Needless to say it was a very
strange day...YEAH...BOO...OMG What a feeling.
Um...don't you think that what drum corps IS... a subjective thing?
Just SAY IT.
Come on... Concert (IE: BAND) instruments being played outdoors?
Winterguard (IE band girls....you don't know how much THAT disgusts
me...) being displayed as a drum and bugle corps colorguard? A
typical drum and bugle corps drum line being relegated to the side
line so much so... they have to join WGI?
DRUM CORPS?
Not so much.
