Apex was fantastic Sunday !
Loved watching something truly original and their
performers were simply wonderful to watch.
They were my pick for the day.

Not to take anything away from Blackwatch because they are a truly wonderful
group to see, however they just did not give me the same thrill as Light
Brigade who had me on the edge of my seat their entire performance. They
were simply incredible!

Though I loved Blackwatch this season, I really did, my opinion is
Light Brigade should have took it.

i definetly agree that Light Brigade was a lot more exciting than
Blackwatch, but technically speaking Blackwatch blew them out of the
water.the fact that LB attempts 8's with backflips and cartwheels
underneath is just great,but i'd much rather watch someone nail a 4
consistantly.meh.just my opinion.loved both shows!!

And if you really want to know (which i doubt you do) Apex was my

Sorry have to disagree. How many of us can do consistent 4's?? Quite a
few. To see people break out of the mold and take major risks deserves
applaud and should get more credit than it does. My theory is once you
achieve it, make it harder. That should be incouraged more for
performers (especially the kids), instead of easy and immaculate being
the winner always. I do agree the stunts should be achieved, but the
challenges themselves should be recognized more than taking the easy
way out. That is the way I was taught and that is what made me the best
I could be.

Ok, this is just my opinion - I'm a color guard fan with friends at
both LB and Blackwatch, so take it for what you will. The fact is that
these two teams are apples and oranges. It is extremely difficult if
not impossible to say objectively and difinitively that one of these
teams should be beating the other. LB has it's own style, BW has it's
own style. It's up to whatever judges happen to be sitting in front of
them to decide who wins on a certain night. Does this judge place more
emphasis on GE over equipment and movement? Does that judge focus more
on achieving the equip vocab given to the team, rather than the crowd
reaction? Like it or not, judging is always going to be subjective.
Switch the kids on these teams, and I bet you each of them would have
trouble performing the others' shows. Neither team had an easy book. It
is not easy to get out there like LB and throw 8s with cartwheels
underneath. At the same time it is not easy to get out there like BW
and put that kind of movement under a world class equipment book and
make it look so beautiful and seamless - because Blackwatch did not
just go out there and stand and throw quads. There is merit in
attempting to achieve a difficult and trick-filled book, but there is
also merit in successfully achieving a suttle, sophisticated book. I
personally prefer watching the latter - it reminds me of old emerald.

day that dances like BW and can spin with such CLASS - to me, that's

I have loved Light Brigade for awhile now. they are so energectic. I
agree with the one reply that consistant tosses arent the greatest. You
need to go above and beyond and the Light Brigade truly shows it. As
for Apex. if they were the ones that had the one guy taking pictures of
the audience. and a cool floor then i loved them. and NOT as an open
class but as a WORLD class.

Ok to clear this up for everyone.............I think that all 3 are
amazing............we are talking in terms of comparison. They are
very difficult to compare. I am a HUGE Blackwatch fan for a very long
time now. I respect their organization as much as I respect my own.
They are talented and always have class. But, my opinion was Light
Brigade because they took the CHANCES and went above and beyond. But
again, a score is a score, all 3 guards really did an excellent job
this year and should all be applauded for their efforts.
