I go to Union County (A little obsolete band in western kentucky). This year we're doing some kind of beatles show. I don't raelly know the specifics b/c the director doesn't have our music yet.
Other shows:
1998: Of Sailors & Whales 1997: The Who's Tommy 1996: Themes from the Olympics
My marching band (Perkiomen Valley High School..Graterford, PA) is doing "The Mayflower Overture." Last year we did a wedding theme which included " The William Tell Overture" and the year before we did "Joseph and the Amazing Techinicolor Dreamcoat."
My Marching Band is Covering a Concord Bluedevil (top drum corps) show from 1990 based on the Rock Opera Tommy. We're doing the same arrangement and in the same Key. The percussion is also doing the same arrangement with slight variation. The nice thing is, we have a full staff filled with Blue Devil, Velvet Knight, and Vangaurd alumni. All west coast.... can't beat that =)

Disco!!!!! We're soooooo excited about it.The music is a lot harder than last year's Beatles show, but I'm pumped just the same. Our band director is even letting the tubas go crazy. Our bells are going to be decorated with tie-dyed mesh and mini-disco balls. And love beads!!! I'm really hyped.Oh, and any ideas about what else to do to the tubas would be appreciated. Melissa Flute and tuba

Wouldn't that affect the sound coming out of the tuba? You know, reflecting off of disco balls... Could be interesting though.
Wando High School of Mt. Pleasant, SC is doing a midievil show. The introduction is Greensleeves and the rest of the songs are: St. Crispens Day/Once More, Requiem Aeternam (the ballad), and Ballet Sacra. So far, the music is really difficult, but I pretty sure we can pull it off.
oh my we (avonworth high school) did rutter 2 years in a row... gloria the first year and magnificat the second. i thought gloria was a better show, but it was more fun to sing the word 'magnificat' over and over than 'all things bright and beautiful' :)
