Not too bad of an idea actually. I'd like more than the name and place
changed though. A couple of years ago I was over at a friends for a couple
of days, and while he was away at work I slapped together a little ADVsys
adventure for him. It was a quest for a can of Fosters Beer(if you've ever
seen one you'd remember it. The biggest damn can of beer you've ever seen,
and what a head on it!). Anyway, I threw in an australian desert, a river
that flooded occasionally, and his ex-girlfriends.

After he got the hang of playing IF he really loved it. We thought it
would be great to make up a questionaire for people to fill in, and then
write a game for them personally. Never tried it though. I'm not sure if it
would really work as well as it did for me without actually knowing the
person.

Have you ever wanted to be an adventure game author?

Now, for only $49.95, you CAN! Have you played the recently released
"John's Fire Witch"? Complete with John Baker and set near The Ohio State
University? Thought it was OK? NOW - picture the excitement you could have
if you owned a copy of the game that was re-compiled with John's name and
alma mater replaced with YOUR name and YOUR alma mater or current school!

Distribute it to your friends and tell them you wrote it! Upload it to
ftp.gmd.de as "Fred's Fire Witch" (assuming of course your name is Fred)!
Get an accomplice to write reviews for SPAG and XYZZY News! Sneer at
co-workers who have never published shareware!

Once again, you get all this for $49.95! (For an additional $20 fee, the
roles and/or genders of the Fire Witch and Ice Wizard will be reversed!)

Email to this address, and please mention the date that appears in the DATE:
line on the header of this article.
