Some random one-room game ideas ...
- courtroom drama (as the defendant, prosecution, defense or a juror)
- on a boat (Adrift, of course :) )
- a western saloon (poker, gun fight / bar room brawl ...)
- a cage at the zoo (as an animal, or someone who fell in the cage)
- a booth / shop (someone asks you to mind it for a while)
- in a hospital bed (in traction / a body cast)
- a mad scientist's laboratory (full of interesting chemicals)
- a tunnel sealed by a cave-in (limited air)
- a crime scene (forensic investigator, etc)
- stuck in an elevator with strangers (who are not what they seem)
- a room with a complex alarm system (trying to steal a jewel, or maybe
trying to put it back)
David Fisher
You find yourself being tossed into a room containing what appears to
be a sleeping troll. The creature is large, ugly, and very scary. You
realize that you have just been thrust into a One Room Competition.
You hold your breath, hoping that the troll does not awake to the sound
of the door being shut behind you. The creature stirs slightly as the
door lock announces its state with some "clank, chunk, click"
sounds.
Avventuretestuali > INVENTORY
In your pocket you find a one-spell rune stone. A sudden feeling of
anger and rage take control of your spirit. You loudly curse the
competition judges. You launch into a tirade about how limiting the
environment to "one room" stifles your creativity. You imagine
yourself standing before a large, attentive audience while you list
bullet-point after bullet-point detailing why the One Room Competition
doesn't measure an author's worth on a fair yardstick. "Let us
force the judges to compose great lyrics with the tickle-producing end
of a quill up their nose" you command the throng of enraged IF fans.
Visions of rewards and praise flash before your eyes as you pronounce a
hex upon the judges condemning them to an utterly horrible existence.
These fade away when you become aware of the troll standing ominously
over you menacingly swinging his club.
Avventuretestuali > TOSS RUNE STONE AT TROLL'S HEAD
You can no longer count yourself among the lucky masses that have never
endured the experience of a screaming troll. You hear the words "Il
sito per appassionati" echo around your head as you become dizzy.
Darkness falls about.

"Coffin Adventure"
an interactive inaction.
Coffin
You are lying dead six feet underground.
>look
With what? Your eyes rotted away long ago.
>i
You are carrying many secrets to your grave.
>tell secrets
They will remain silenced now.
>out
The coffin lid is in the way.
>open coffin
Not only is the coffin nailed shut, but since you can't move you can't
push it open.
>quit
You already quit. That's why you're here.
>go to heaven
Nope. St. Michael gave you the thumbs down. This evil evil world and
your total lack of moral standards done PWNED you homes.
>go to hell
What the heck is a "hell?" Never heard of it. There is only here.
By the way, what do you want to do now?
>wait
Now that you can do. You wait a while.
