For younger people, "Getting Started in TADS 3" would probably be a good
place to start. (I would suggest perhaps starting with Chapter 2. Leave
Chapter 1 for later.) Older beginners sometimes find "Learning TADS 3"
better. The "Tour Guide" takes a different approach, and working through
its examples will teach you a lot.

The truth is, there's a lot to learn in TADS! And none of the existing
documents will be right for everyone.

Perhaps the best thing to do is to just start somewhere, and then ask
lots of questions. In addition to this newsgroup, you may want to try
the forum at intfiction.org. We usually have a few newcomers posting
questions in the TADS page of the forum.
