That address should certainly work, and other people are reaching me
on it okay. If you're trying to reply to the email you received from
me yesterday, again I've received two replies to it without
difficulty, so I don't know why you're experiencing difficulty.

Ah, right; that form of the address wouldn't work any more.
Originally Oxford University Computing Services allowed both a long
form and a short form of our email addresses, with the long form
(such as the one you cite above) being regarded as the official one.
Last year they decided to obsolete the long form address and only
allow the short form (hmc being an abbreviation for
harris-manchester and ox being an abbreviation for oxford). I've
also occasionally come up against this problem when my email client
uses stored long-form email addresses for colleagues which no longer
work).
