[Beta-Testing] Wumpus 2000

It sounds like the textfire beta-testing service isn't active at the moment,
so I am putting out a call for beta-testers.

"Wumpus 2000: The Virulent Labyrinth of Yob-Shuggoth" is a text adventure
inspired by the classic 1970's game "Wumpus" (by Gregory Yob). It features
a richly-detailed, randomly generated cave system of 100 rooms, a collection
of fearsome cave-dwellers, a rudimentary combat system and a somewhat quirky
plot. I think of it as "Wumpus" meets "Angband" meets "Chthon / Phthor".

It's programmed in Inform, is a .z5 game, and should work on any Z-machine
interpreter (though I wouldn't suggest running it on a slow system or one
with a small display). It consists of a lot of exploration...and it also
contains those beloved cornerstones of IF games: a big maze, a battery
puzzle, food/water puzzles AND the need for occasional rest!

I'm looking to get Wumpus out the door -- I've been sitting on this
sucker for three years -- so I'd like to start pulling everything
together for a release. If anybody out there is testing it, could you
please send some notes about your findings to muffysb at hotmail dot
com? I'd like to start fixing any bugs or trying to improve the
gameplay based on suggestions. And all suggestions are welcome, even
"what were you thinking?" or "why?"

subject line, so I know you're not trying to sell me a mor.tg.age or
fix my cred|t.
