We have a gallery out here in Seattle called the StreetLife Gallery, also
called "the home of homeless art". Because most of the StreetLife artists
are self-taught, they get experimental. I do mixed-media, paper-pulp, and
wet-paper-collage work; my friend (c) Dr. Wes Browning does acrylics that
incorporate Polynesian imagery, occasionally as seen by Wierd Al
Yankovich.
We are just getting our web site going. Some work can be seen now, at
http://www.speakeasy.org/~anitra/slg-menu.html. We expect to have more
work loaded by the first of next week.

So am I, and many of the things I do seem to be because *I don't know I
can't*.

I also do mixed-media, wet-paper-collage, and have
done *some* paper-pulp. I was disatisfied with the results of
that, however.

Hi Anita,
Can you tell me the address of this streetlife gallery? I'll be in
Seattle this summer. I'd like to visit this place.
By the way my name is Angel Kwan. William is my husband. I'm in the
process of putting together my home page. I want my web site to be a
gallery to displace quality art. In the mean time, I'm researching for
artists for my gallery.
I work with paper, all kinds of paper. I turn thses papers into mixed
media assemblage and installation. As you know, installation can be
extremely involved and labor intensive. So recently, I have focused my
attention on small paper collages.

Even without the art gallery in operation, I found your site very thought
provoking. I have advised those in my local area who are dealing with the
homeless issue to give your site a visit. I will return too--to see the art
SOme good URL links too.
