SAN JOSE, CA -- Mattison Fitzgerald, a Bay Area emerging artist
announced today her recent inclusion of her accomplishments,
work and
archival documentation by the National Museum of Women's in
the Arts in
Washington DC.

The National Museum of Women (NMWA), in the Arts brings
recognition to
the achievements of women artists of all periods and nationalities
by
exhibiting, preserving, acquiring, and researching art by women
and by
educating the public concerning their accomplishments.

"I am overwhelmed to be accepted into this most prestigious
institution
and deeply honored to be in the company of such reknown creative
Women,
I believe no other institution has done more to promote women
artists
as NMWA. It is gratifying that through my work future
generations will
be empowered by knowing the history of Women in the arts,"
Mattison
stated..

"In celebration of this National recognition I am donating a
painting on
healing to Battered Women Allaince of San Jose. I hope this
donation
will help draw attention to the waste of Women as a resource in
our
society today."

Mattison FitzGerald is a painter who's luminous paintings
resemble
nothing we have seen in the so called "School of New York,"
according to
Gustavo Valdese, Art Editor, NYC. "Ms. FitzGeralds paintings
vibrate
with fluidity and electrify with extraordinary firmness across the
canvas." Nathan Olivera, professor emeritus of Stanford
University Art
Department says of Ms. Fitzgerald's work, "Mattison is way
ahead of
other artists."

Ms. Fitzgerald recently debuted at her San Jose "PULSARTE,
Seeing
Millenium, A Time of Great Happines", an animated film of her
original
paintings and drawings. The short film made history as the first
film to
be Webcast from the Cannes Film Festival. Ms. Fitzgerald is now
working
on a new film for Cannes which will be based on her 'Flower
Power'
series of paintings.

Ms. Fitzgerald plans to dedicate the new film to powerful women
who have
passed on after contributing their efforts to improve life during the
20th century; Mother Teresa, Judy Barri, Georgia O'Keefe, Ella
Fitzgerald, Princess Diana, Imogen Cunningham, and others to be
announced later.

Further information about Mattison Fitzgerald can be found at her
Web

Mattison Fitzgerald is currently painting in Santa Fe New Mexico
and
will be unavailable for comment until January 7th. She will be in
studio
after January 7th.
