Does sculpting help you draw?

I know mastering drawing helps you sculpt better, but is the reverse
also true?

Both sculpture and drawing are very much about light and shadow.
learning that can be carried out in both directions.

Sculpting - in fact modelling - after a model teaches a different way
of looking. Try modelling a banana in clay, but in double size.
You may be surprized how much curvature there is in every direction.
When finished, cut both the banana and the sculpture in two and compare
the cross sections.

For me drawing and modelling are complementary. Practising one
improves the other.
