Silicon Valley, San Jose, Ca June 20, 2000 -
American Artist Mattison Fitzgerald has been recognized by the British
as An Outstanding Artist and Designer of the 20th
Century by the International Biographical Centre' of
Cambridge England.

After acceptance of the honor she was also nominated for
Outstanding Intellectuals of the 20th Century by the
same International organization.

Her works were also recently featured by the Top Top Japnese Art
Journal ASHAI Art Pictorial in a two page spread in the noted At The
Forefront section.

Fitzgerald says she is "shocked and flattered and feels
like she is just getting started and she wishes everyone
would read the short story News from Nowhere by the
famous english artist and designer William Morris. NFN
is a wonderful utopian story where art is respected and
relished in the community and because of that basis
people can live with inner peace in harmony."

Fitzgerald thinks that many of the ills of society are
because people are not doing creative things that
satisfy their inner child who is really an artist.
Fitzgerald says "I am waiting to see everyone paint their cars on Sunday with
tempra paint and drive them on the freeways on Monday - JUST FOR CREATIVE
FUN! IMAGINE THAT! just to break up their own creative
monotony. Heaven knows this place needs more on the
color of fun. BTW how many millions did Disney do last
year? Maybe in this media revolution they better start
asking themselves what a Disney for Adults might be!"

Fitzgerald a bay area native was recently recognized by
Internaional Biographical Centre, Cambridge England as an
Outstanding Artist and Designer of the 20th century.
Fitzgerald has recieved awards including; Outstanding Achievement in the
Arts by the National Association of American Penn Women,

first short art film on the internet from
the Cannes Film Festival an animation of her paintings
in 1998 and had her works published in Japan by Ashai Art Communications on the
