Does anyone here uses canvases w/classic (not acrylic!) priming -
for oil painting ???

ANY RECOMMENDATIONS ?

I find it difficult to find those canvases (pre-stretched canvases are
only acrylic).

I heard that Fredrix sells canvas/linen rolls of such canvas, but I can
not find description.

Bloody Fredrix! Do they have OWN web-site ???

So far, "Yarka" primed canvas rolls look promising:
real linen, sturgeon glue primed + triple oil priming...

However I am afraid some sanding of surfice will be required because of
thread slubbing.

I developed certain dislike for acrylic-primed canvases and I would like
to switch back to "classic" canvases.

ANY RECOMMENDATIONS ?

Thanks.

Yeah...stretch and prime your own! It's not hard to
do and you have total control.
