Hello, \I have found Centrox to be a good source for online prices, but to
download information and pictures sometimes takes a while and you can run
up a hefty bill. If you're looking for prices of "affordable" paintings,
etc , i.e. works that generally sell in the $100- $5,000 range, check out
our www site. We do five auctions of paintings a year, and are now
putting jpeg illustrations of every lot online. Catalog texts, with
prices realized, are available for Feb, Apr, And June 94, photos for
about 200 of the 300 lots are up for April and photos of all 355 lots are
up for June. Our Sept auction will go online in a couple more weeks.
We're also just getting started with an online retail gallery, where
dealers, collectors, artists, anybody, can post art for sale or art
wanted, or art services supplied (framing, restoration, art books,
appraisals, whatever). Charge is $25 a month for basic page with lots of
text and a photo. Check it out -- loads of photos to look at, and more
every few days. URL: http://www.maine.com/yfa.
