From the Editor:

Another busy week has passed us by at the Canvas. In addition to
the many new tutorials, art lessons, and other sundries that we've
added this week (full list below), there are a number of other new
features
worth mentioning.

First, we have a slightly new look on the front page - I hope you enjoy
it.
Secondly, we are now sponsoring our own web award. You can now nominate
sites
to receive the WetCanvas Cadmium Red Hot Site award! Check the site
for more info on our selection criteria.

Next week, I'll be in NYC, speaking with some of tine local denizens
about the New York art scene (and hopefully, enjoying a bit of
sightseeing
in America's "concrete jungle"). Look for my full report next week.

WetCanvas! is as an online magazine and information repository geared
toward artists of all major mediums (oils, acrylics, watercolors, etc.)

The site's content currently features:

- Feature articles by industry leaders and experts
- Daily/Weekly news updates
- Visual, step-by-step tutorials for painters of all skill levels.
- Roger Elliot's ArtSchool Online
- Free virtual gallery space for artists
- Hot Studio Tips
- Product guides (easels, paints, brushes, etc)
- Online art-related book and video shopping
- A community section, consisting of ArtChat, message forums, and
information
on exhibits and competitions.
- The entire site is searchable via our WetCanvas search engine.

We are looking for additional contributing editors and writers for our
how-to
tutorial section, studio tips, and product review sections. If you are

artist, and would like to share your knowledge and experience with
others, see
the contact information below.

We are also seeking, and interested in developing, relationships with
publishing
companies, magazines, writers and other content providers. In addition
to the
high exposure, we are able to provide cross-promotions and various
Internet
related services in several combined packages.

We are also interested in working with artists to fill our virtual
gallery space.
This service is free of charge to any artist wishing to display their
works in an
online format.
