Anyone heard of impressionist style artist named "Parnel" (or something close)

My parents have a beautiful impressionist style painting and I'm
looking for additional works by this artist. I spoke to them on the
phone (I live out of town) and they looked at the artist's signature.
They say it is "Parnel", but I can not find any artist by that name.
Can anyone help identify? It's an original purchased at a local
"Starving Artist" show, so must be fairly recent.

Can you fill in any more details - like the area it was purchased in, and
the approximate date of the purchase (or of the painting itself)? Any chance
of a photo?
