Also they're cheaper by the dozen, no doubt.
How refreshing it is to see the word "Reproduction' in an honest effort
to explain EXACTLY what is for sale. We here in the States live in an art
world characterized by constant deception, trickery, falsification and
just plain lies regarding the origin and provenance of art work. The phrase
"original print" is typical of the contemptible weasel words used to
conceal the fact that what is offered for sale is NOT an original piece of
art work. Be careful though. If you use too much frankness and
honesty and in your disclosures, the US and European art world will come
down on you like a ton of bricks.
Art dealers here have no problem selling fake copies or "recently
discovered " drawings by old masters. But let anyone use the word
"Reproduction" and they react like a washer woman who has her tit caught in
a wringer !

Since they're paying the Chinese who paint them 10 cents an
hour, they could probably sell them as insulation for barns and still
make a profit.
I'm curious about the exact technique used to produce the work.
Are they paintings done beginning to end by an arist holding a brush ? That
might justify and explain the rather high prices. Or are they more
mechanically produced and come out of a computerized printing process by the
dozens. Which would influence my decision about how much I might be
willing to pay. Where is the work done ? Do you wait for an order before
starting to produce a particular work ? And what do you mean exactly by
museum quality ?
Just wondering, Bill
