Governors State University is offering a college-level art history
investigation and discussion course for students worldwide linked through
the Internet. Course compares art objects from seven differing contexts
and diverse world areas and contrasts the imagery, cultural
circumstances and world views within which the art was created and
functioned. Included are objects from Russia, China, India, Nigeria,
Iran, Mexico and a Native American culture.
