Modern/contemporary impressionism. This is the only way I can describe
these paintings by Australian artist Melanie Fenelon.

This collection of oil paintings of pretty woman in a variety of
settings have a impressionistic quality about them. Although painted
from 1997 through 2000, the paint in these painting already have a
patina with some of the highlights being a metallic paint that was
buryed during World War II by the artists grandfather and then found
again and used on these canvases. In the sunlight these women radiate a
glow that has to be seen to be believed.
Each on their own have the ability to "own the room" they are in, as a
collection some of them were the subject of an exhibition in the
National Gallery of Romania in 1998.

I hope you enjoy the gallery and comments are appreciated. All of the
art is for sale to help the artist open a new candy business so all
affers will be considered.

Please note the size of these paintings.
