Hi everyone,

Is there such a thing as a who's who for artist on the www? I have two
painting one a water colour and the other an oil that I would like to
find out about, especially the artist.

One is called Leeds Bridge, a water colour painted by A. Netherwood R.C.A.
I believe it might be an orginal painted in 1916???? This is doubly
interesting to me as my maiden name is Netherwood.

The second is an oil, with no title but looks to be 1920's London or Paris
a street scene..raining of course with lots of tall fashionably dressed
women. The artist is Kan Kau??

Any ideas, other than contact the art gallery..I live way out in the country.

Thanks
Anne Hunt

Sure. Learn to use the WWW search engines. I prefer LYCOS for ease
of use and speed. Just type in the names of the artists, and if there is
anything on the Web with that name in it, it will be returned. PROBLEM:
Making sure the name is spelled correctly. The search engines do not
have the ability to guess at close spellings.
