Carb-Othello pastel pencils

I recently noticed that the Carb-Othello pastel pencils have some
number of stars printing on them, between 0 and 5. What does this
mean? I'm guessing it's a light-fastness rating for the individual
pigments in each pencil, but I don't really know.

Anyone know more about this?
