I reside in Dallas, Texas and while recently visiting an upscale
furniture store I ran across a fabulous looking original painting
signed by an artist named Taylor (sorry, no first name could be
found). Anyway, the work depicted a Jack Russell Terrier dressed in ,
what appeared to be, greek war garb sitting on a chair. The style is
reminscent of paintings I've seen before which usually feature Pugs
adorned in victorian wigs, and such. Although I am respectably versed
on the canons of art, I have always pigeon-holed "dog art" into the
variety of paintings featuring gambling canine and cartoony
renderings. Nonetheless, the painting at hand was an oil featuring
broad strokes and a very interesting perspective. It was featured for
a price somewhere under $2000 u.s. dollars, so rather than making an
impulse purchase I decided to sleep on it. Of course, it was sold the
next morning and the staff could not provide any details on the artist
(other than it was an original) or how to contact the distributor or
agent. Consequently, I am making it my mission to find another one. So
any advice anyone might have as to finding such a painting will be
greatly appreciated. I understand that given my limited description
potential feedback may be difficult, nonetheless, our group here has
provided me miracles in the past. Thanks in advance for any advice or
education.
