Howdy folks,

I'm hoping someone may be able to help me. For many years I've
had an old record of 20th Century compositions on the
Vox/Turnabout label entitled "Electronic Music III." The
album was probably released in the late 60's.

I'm trying to identify the cover art for the album since it
has always intrigued me. Unfortunately, the liner notes do
not mention the artist. In the corner of the painting is what
looks like a signature: VENTILLA

The painting itself is a modern abstract. The style reminds me
of various Spanish abstract paintings from the 50's-60's. It
consists of a white background with black almost lollipop-like
figures in the far-foreground (possibly an abstracted crowd of
people) reaching from the bottom to the top of the canvas. The
lower parts of the figures contain small splotches of color. I'm
not sure if I can describe the painting any better.

I checked at our campus library, but was unable to find
anything about the artist Ventilla (probably due to my
ineptitude in not knowing where to look). I suppose it's
possible that the painting could have have been done just for
the album, but that would be atypical for classical LPs of
this style and era.

My questions basically are:

1) Has anyone ever heard of this "Ventilla" person? If so can
you supply any details of the artist?
2) Does my, albeit poor, description of the painting sound
familiar to anyone?
3) If no one has ever heard of him, could you suggest where I
might search for him?

Naturally my ultimate goal would be to get a nice print of this
work. Probably impossibly, but worth trying for!

Thanks,
Tom
