Bugs finally took his meds.
There are still some old episodes being played on some of the obscure
channels, and they remind me just how truly awful the new shows really are.
It`s your fault they`re here. I "mark as read" all those threads
immediately. There have been plenty of threads about Who lately but I`ve
barely seen you in any of them!
Agree entirely. After half an hour you'll soon realise who the "twat" is
that is intent on killing this group. If you killfile him and those who play
with him, the group comes a bit more manageable (but not much)
Snarky is responsible for you not taking part in any DW discussions?
An interesting suggestion, care to expand a bit on that theory please?
Regards
Ged
Snarky (AKA "The Wolfman") is a troll from another group that has claimed to
be a McCoy fan in the past. He also had a habit of crossposting garbage from
his other groups onto this one.
David you lied again, you said you had cleanfeed, you must stop your lies
And yes everyone can read headers
Snarky and co are just trolling for points.
At least the discordian were being DW fans.

Right on cue Bugs posts proof that he's mentally retarded.
Ah... a desperate attempt to claim that you're not a troll because
you're a Doctor Who fan.
Doesn't stand up I'm afraid, you're obviously a troll.
Thus trolled Tom80s, not knowing what good Snarky was for this
group at one point.
Maybe you misinterpreted what I was asking (or I phrased it poorly -
entirely possible) or I misunderstood your answer.
As I read it, Yads was saying that he had not contributed to any of
the DW related threads here because of Snarky and I wondered how
Snarky was stopping him from doing so?
Regards
Ged
Snarkwit has not stopped me.
Yes, this is a small misunderstanding. I should have answered each post
individually but a lot of the people in this thread are in the killfile. One
poster mentioned "Or all the usenet kooks taking over?" Another person said
"It`s your fault they`re here." And another reply appeared to be blaming
Snarky for the usenet kooks being here. Having Snarky, Yads, and their
friends crosspost their garbage to this group can be a real pain. When the
group gets filled with that garbage, they basically hamper the efforts of
all Doctor Who fans at this group from taking part in Doctor Who related
discussions. It gets bothersome when you come here to talk about Doctor Who
and you see a bunch of junk from another group. Not everybody wants to go
through all that just to find something related about Doctor Who.
My enjoyment of radw is currently lower than when we had all that
hipcrime flooding that Yads denied being responsible for
Regards
Ged
Basis: What I said was that Snarky is trolling with a lot of
non-DW posts in the drwho groups.
Prove to us that I am hipcrime related.
Your acussation is baseless!!!
No, it's not baseless. I agree with him.
On two separate occasions (July 1966 and again in February 1968) there
were DW episodes where soldiers are defeated by robotic adversaries
armed with smoke guns in a warehouse near Covent Garden.
Do you think the re-use of this very specific trope, less than two
years after its first appearance, means that DW was running out of
ideas in the late sixties?
I wouldn't say so much that they were running out of ideas, as much
as
that they'd found a niche for those kind of stories, or if you
prefer,
the makers had become more conservative. They'd mastered the art in
terms of atmosphere and in drawing characters that are believable and
worth caring about, particularly in Web of Fear and Evil of the
Daleks.
I think the worrying sign was in the early 80's with the focus on
continuity (Arc of Infinity, Warriors of the Deep, Attack of the
Cybermen) and introspectiveness (Kinda, Twin Dilemma, Ghostlight) to
a
degree that was seriously detrimental to the character of the Doctor
as he became emotionally weak and pathetically prone to incompetence
and madness. It's when a show starts going introspective and starts
internalising itself (which happened to Red Dwarf and Buffy when they
started going downhill) that the series is not only running out of
ideas, but can't even sustain a reliable, tried and trusted repeated
idea.
No, you still haven't addressed the fact that at least two people,
myself and Ged think you're guilty of the hipcrime postings. Therefore
the verdict is guilty. Calling the jury 'trolls' doesn't help your
case.
You are no jury. You are investigators. The jury will decide.
We're jury and investigators, we're good at multitasking.
I doubt Scotland Yard would hire you.
Yes (but don't tell IF)
Regards
Ged
My enjoyment of radw is currently lower than when we had all that
hipcrime flooding that Yads denied being responsible for
I agree with you. With all the garbage, how can anybody not notice the
stink? Do you think Yads was responsible? I've got a feeling that all his
crossposting just drew more attention to the group and that is part of the
reason why this group got hit.
Hipcrime cares lees abut Internet let alone USEnet.
To be fair to myself I only said that Yads denied being responsible
for the hipcrime. I did not say that I was accusing him of being
responsible for all that hipcrime flooding
We will never prove if Yads was responsible will we?
Regards
Ged
Hmm. That hardly puts you out of the running then :-)
Regards
Ged
No, the onus is on you to *disprove* it!
You're guilty until proved innocent, as you've been for a long time.
Care to audit everything here. No hipcrime allowed here!
No, don't point the finger at me- you prove your innocence first, you
stand accused of serious crimes, troll.
So how does that stop you contributing with on topic material?
Regards
Ged

The perpetrator of the HipCrime floods was a poster from Ukraine known
as "Bloxy's", "Nukleus", "Librarian" and various other aliases.
Hundreds of newsgroups were affected, not only RADW. Hundreds of other
newsgroups have been affected in the past. The target was Usenet as
whole, not this newsgroup specifically.

Was Yads behavior directly responsible for the hipcrime? Probably not. Was
his crossposting behavior leading to congestion at when those same groups
kept posting their garbage here? There is a good chance of that. Yads may
not be trying to harm this group, but the end result is that he attracts
trolls and others that wish to attack him because of his incoherent posts
flooding other groups. He does not need to draw the attention of trolls at
other groups. He needs to learn how to keep a low profile.

COuldn't have summed it up better myself but there's fat chance of
Yads learning to keep a low profile
Regards

PS Why do fat chance and slim chance mean the same thing?
lol! That is a good question actually....
I beieve Peter has that answer.
Already have a high profile even before arriving at USEnet.
Now you're being racist. You disgusting troll!
The answer is that one of them's sarcastic and the other isn't.

If Yads gave a damn about this group or his fellow Doctor Who fans that post
here, then he would not be trying to attract trolls from other groups.
Sadly, it is apparent that Yads does not give a shit.
Yeah, that's pretty much why I've been trying my damndest to get rid
of him, trying to chase him off forum. The group would just be so much
better without him.
It doesn't look like you're going to succeed where so many people have
failed before - and your own posts targeted at him are nearly as boring
and repetitive as all his "thus trolled tom80s" responses.
I would agree with that. I also firmly believe in carrot and stick.
When Yads makes reasonable posts he shouldn't be piled on as it only
encourages him to make the usual inane replies.

It is these type of replies (including not snipping sigs - you should
