And for the foreigners:

Nothing we didn't know really...
However the Doctor mentions some extra adventures between Waters of
Mars and the Crimbo story, including him getting married...
...so plenty of opportunities for books and audio adventures in the
future.

I couldn't quite tell if he's still loony or not from the two scenes we
saw. It's a bit of a copout for the next chapter not to follow on from
the massive build up in Waters of Mars, - but RTD always gives us an
anticlimax.
And there's the cartoon thing with him that starts tomorrow in interactive.

Nice to get a nod to the end of Shakespeare Code, since they obviously
aren't now able to follow that with a story.
I liked the TARDIS locking even if Ood Sigma was unimpressed!
It looks fun, overall.
Phil
Yes but "fun" is a major tone shift from the cliffhanger of WoM. I
suspect it'll get progressively darker though.
And it was the pre-credits sequence, wasn't it?
It does look like it's gonna be a downer... Someone on youtube reckons the
Ood are gonna turn out to be (proto?) Time Lords... Is that how RTD is
gonna wrap up all his loose endings?
Season 1 - Daleks re-create themselves by shredding Humans
Season 2 - Cybermen reinvented by shredding Humans
Season 3 - Daleks re-create themselves by shredding humans
Season 3 - Time Lords Recreated by shredding Humans
Season 4 - Daleks re-created by shredding Davros
Chances are somebody's for the blender.
I suspect from RTD's point of view the looniness wasn't intended as
character development, but as an excuse to explain why the fabric of
reality is breaking down yet again - I suspect the relevant bit will
be the Doctor's breaking of the 'Laws of Time', not his newfound
supervillainy.
Phil
It's a Christmas special - it looks darker than the clip for the
equivalent portion of last year's special.
Phil
It looks that way,
> It does look like it's gonna be a downer...
As in dark, or crap?
Someone on youtube reckons the
> Ood are gonna turn out to be (proto?) Time Lords... Is that how RTD is
> gonna wrap up all his loose endings?
Wow, youtube rumours seem even less plausible than some of the rumours
churned out here, if that's to be believed.
The Ood specifically say "They are returning" - plainly not referring
to themselves, and indicating an awareness on their part of pre-
existing Time Lords in their own timeline. The Time Lords are the Time
Lords, the Ood are the Ood.
Phil
Was it just my imagination or was there something that looks like a
Sensorite in the preview at the end of WOM.
Perhaps the Xmas title will be Return To The Sense Sphere.
It's an Ood - I don't know why it now seems to have a bumpy forehead.
> Perhaps the Xmas title will be Return To The Sense Sphere
It was mentioned in "Planet of the Ood" that the Oodsphere and the
Sensesphere are in the same system - apparently by Dr Who logic,
similarities between two alien races somehow make more sense if the
planets on which they independently evolved are next to each other.
Phil
Any official sources?
Whoa!! This has GRAND possibilities.
No. It was the first two scenes that will appear after the credits.
People are allowed to change their mind yer know! :-)
