I wonder what they'll copy tomorrow. The garbage compactor scene from Star
Wars Episode IV A New Hope?
Indians with bows and arrows - and right after a Western-style escape
in an ore cart? Come on. As if the "How, paleface" companion wasn't
enough of a stereotype already.
It's definitely getting worse.
Phil
I have to say, Aggy, you were right - this is getting more and more
like the classic series. Just look at the similarities:
- Two-dimensional companions with no background, motive or
personality? Check.
- Non-white people represented by token stereotypes? It's uncanny -
watching those Injuns I could have sworn I was watching Web Planet
again!
- Obligatory random monster inserted into every segment without motive
or plausible explanation? Check.
- Villains who for no terribly obvious reason turn out to be evil
robots? Check.
- Set-up that starts off looking intriguing but rapidly reveals itself
to be simplistic and obvious? Check.
Classic fans will love it...
Phil
How can I get to see this programme? Is it on Free View?
Ask Ag.

Saw a trailer that they're showing the whole thing on TV next Saturday, I
think...
I'm not arsed, personally! Looks as shit and kiddified as "Sarah Jane" and
there are far better TV programmes on right now... You know? For
GROWN-UPS?
Haven't you been watching "Curb Your Enthusiasm" on More4 then, Alan?
There's "Misfits" too, of course, which has been pretty uneventful after two
episodes but is supposed to have a 'game changer' in Ep. 3 - so let's bloody
hope it livens up a bit and introduces a storyline. Can't be as bad as
"Stargate: Universe" on Sky1, though, which is just dull as dishwater....
BBC Doctor Who site links to it - free on iPlayer.
Phil
You realise the irony of writing this on a Dr Who group?
The animation's a bit crap and the monsters seem taken straight out of
Japanese anime, but the story itself runs like a fairly standard live-
action Who adventure.
Phil
Keep forgetting about it. Other things to do. Might order the DVDs sometime.

I thought the first episode was shit. Totally unlikable characters. I
can see scum like that on a daily basis. Why would I want to watch them
on tv (same goes for shit like Shameless and Skins).
2 trolls are at it again.
LOL!
Nah, I'm only 41. Not old enough to start watching programmes aimed at
adults. I share an office with a guy who keeps the radio on Radio 2. That's
more than enough tedium for me!
If you're forced to endure Wogan, that's more than enough tedium for
anyone.
