Gallifrey '96 is February 16-19, 1996, at the Best Western Airtel Plaza Hotel
in Van Nuys, California, just north of Los Angeles. The convention, the only
annual Doctor Who convention on the West Coast, is co-sponsored by the Time
Meddlers of Los Angeles.

(Ace), PHILIP SEGAL (Executive Producer of the new Fox/Universal "Doctor Who"),
JOHN LEVENE (Sgt. Benton), PATRICIA TALLMAN (Lyta, "Babylon Five"), JEAN-MARC
and RANDY LOFFICIER (Who historians & animation writers), DAFYDD ab HUGH (Trek
novelist), author BRAD LINAWEAVER, artist/fan LARRY STEWART, Who historian ERIC
HOFFMAN, Star Trek writers RON WILKERSON & JEAN-LOUISE MATTHIAS, musical guest
MIKE "AMBERWOLF" ELLIOTT, Space Access Society's HENRY VANDERBILT, JPL's
TOM McDONOUGH (of NASA) and ANTHONY MARTIN, TV writer CRAIG MILLER and

Gallifrey has a Dealers' Room (tables sold out), Art Show and Art Auction,
24 hour video room, filk room, costume and sound-off contests, Guest of Honor
brunch banquet (also sold out, sorry!), three dances and a hospitality suite.
We have a Saturday night talk show ("Gallifrey Tonight"), a Sunday evening
"Greatest Show in the Galaxy" Cabaret (hosted by John Levene), the Paradise
Towers High Tea, "Ten Backwards: The Coffee House at the End of the Universe",
three game shows (Gallifrey Match Game, Sci-Fi Bingo, and $25,000 Pyramid of
Mars), and the Friday night Metebelis Mixer and Saturday's Tenth Anniversary
Party of the Time Meddlers of Los Angeles.
We have a number of fan and professional panels. Not only Q&A sessions and
autographs, but inside looks at upcoming NASA projects, writers' panels,
and fan panels galore, including "Doctor Who in the Media," "Why Quantum Leap
Fandom Won't Die," "Stop Me Before I Vampire Again," "The Doctor Who New &
Missing Adventures: A Round-Up," "Thoughts and Theories on Babylon Five" and
"Is Star Trek Dead?"
Gallifrey '96 will also host a charity auction on Saturday afternoon for the
War Child Charity, a European-based child displacement fund and the target
charity of Sylvester McCoy. Past auctions for the Foundation for the Study of
Infant Death and the Downs' Syndrome Association have raised over $1,300 for
each charity.

The only question I have, is what am I associated with? :)
FYI, I'm done a few columns about online fandom in The FODW newsletter,
I'm a SYSOP on COmpuserve's SFMEDIA forum, I publish the SFTV Schedules
on the net and wherever else it ends up, do a column on SF TV in ConNotations
(magazine produced by CASFS here in Arizona, and I'm also chair of
CopperCon 16 in Scottsdale, AZ in September 1996.
I've been to every Gallifrey One convention so far and have enjoyed all
of them. If you are in the L.A. area, you should go to this convention.
The autograph lines aren't long, the guests are friendly and everyone has
a good time.
