USA - Doctor Who - Series 3 (The Runaway Bride and the 13 episode 2007
series with Freema Agyeman as Martha Jones) are now distributed to
Public TV stations by BBC Worldwide Americas, not American Public TV.
Series 4 also seems to be available to buy - start date for Series 4
on Public TV stations is unknown. BBC Worldwide Americas also
distributes classic Doctor Who to stations.

If you're a PBS station airing Doctor Who and I don't have you listed
- contact me. If you're watching Doctor Who on a PBS station that's
not on this list - contact me AND tell me the day, time, and episode
that aired so I can track things down (some stations have websites
where schedule information is - lacking).

The public TV stations known to have bought The Runaway Bride and
Series 3:
WXXI 21 Rochester, NY
WTTW 11 Chicago, IL (currently in first run)
WGVU/WGVK 35,52 Grand Rapids/Kalamazoo, MI
WILL 12 Urbana, IL
WTVP 47 Peoria, IL
Iowa Public TV
Idaho Public TV
Wisconsin Public TV
Milwaukee Public TV
KUED 7 Salt Lake City, UT
OETA Oklahoma
KLRU 18 Austin, TX
Alaska Public TV
WSKG/WSKA 46,30 Binghamton/Elmira, NY
KERA 13 Dallas, TX (currently in first run)

Now, I am confident that there are more stations with rights to Series
3 than that. But these are the stations who have contacted me or
scheduled the show. Unlike previous years, we are in the dark till a
station comes forward or new Who appears in their schedules.

Series 2 is currently available to public TV stations in an American
Public TV package until March 31, 2010. For the Series 1 and 2
packages, stations have bought the rights to cycle through the
episodes 4 times. They are not required to do so. American Public TV
is no longer offering Series 1 - I do not know if BBC Worldwide
Americas will offer those stations to public TV stations now or not.

2 Public TV stations currently have rights to air the classic Doctor
Who run (1963-1989), but not New Who. KBTC 28 Tacoma, WA is airing
Peter Davison episodes. WHRO 15 Norfolk, VA is airing Tom Baker
episodes.

ONLINE RADIO SHOWS/PODCASTS:

This section is always open to discovering new Doctor Who/Sarah Jane/
K9/Torchwood material of note. If you think your webcast/podcast (or
somebody else's) belongs in this section, e-mail me.

Due to production problems, there was not time to update this section
of the listings. Several podcasts have done tributes to Barry Letts,
Cultdom Collective is having a fight with Talkshoe which now believes
in eating podcasts instead of recording them, and no word yet on
whether Tokyo survived the visit of Warren Freyburg. Hoping things are
back to normal next time.

Doctor Who chat show done in podcast format. Hosted by Louis Trapani,

by Dave AC, Mike Doran, and a cast of many. There is a feed for studio
shows and a feed for live shows.
2) Also home to the Sonic Newsdriver, Louis Trapani's periodic rundown
of new Doctor Who news.
3) Also home to the Hitch-hiker's Guide To British Sci-Fi, a podcast
covering a mix of shows, including Doctor Who.
Current episode:
-Podshock Episode 164 - Recorded after the iPlayer International story
hit but before news of the passing of former Doctor Who producer Barry
Letts came out. Joshua Lou joins Louis, Ken, and James in an in-depth
review of Robot, Tom Baker's first story and the last produced by
Barry Letts.

Radio Free Skaro http://www.radiofreeskaro.com
The 3 Canadians (Warren, Steven, Chris) get together on the weekends
for about an hour or more to discuss the latest in Doctor Who,
Torchwood, and Sarah Jane in a fairly amusing manner. When one is
away, the 4th Canadian (Katrina) will play.
Current Episodes:
- 161 - "Second Hand Rumours" - A series of rumours intrigues our
hosts. A list of writers for the new Doctor Who series has been
published. Lots of DVD speculation. And the Miniscope looks at the
Doctor Who work of Fiona Cumming.
- 162 - "Maloney Sandwich" - This episode was recorded early due to
Warren's trip to Japan. An introduction was added before its early
release last night, and the introduction discussed the passing of
Barry Letts. In the body of the show, fury from the deep of their
souls at Matt Smith's first series being officially counted as Series
1. International iPlayer issues. David Maloney is the subject of the
Miniscope.
Coming Soon:
-In the introduction, Steven and Chris mentioned the possibility of a
Barry Letts special. And as always with RFS, there is a secret project
or two that they could throw out at the world. Likely on a Wednesday.
-163 - "Warren Vs. MechaWarren" - Warren slips on something
radioactive in Japan and becomes a 10 foot monster, only for an evil
scientist (who at last report was *not* believed to be Adam Purcell
with a dodgy mustache) to build a robot version of Warren. The two
Warrens fight and destroy Tokyo, with Greenpeace planning to kill the
winner and use the winner's body as an example of the evils of nuclear
power. Meanwhile, the remaining RFS hosts look at Chris Clough in the
Miniscope segment, and suspect they might be a bit vicious to him.

Trevor from Australia and Marty from the UK talk Doctor Who with
themselves, others, and teddy bears dressed as doctors. Now with a

Frequent guest - Michael of the Tin Dog podcast.
Current episode:
#138 - Released too soon to column issuing for me to check it out, but
from the description Trevor is looking at spinoff content that has
been forgotten by time - Downtime, Wartime, Shakedown, The Tom Baker
Years, and Just Who On Earth Is Tom Baker? Wait - no Time-Rift, with

Coming Soon:

Doctor Who (and other) fans get together to discuss anything that is
unusual, odd, or otherwise not normal. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere -
until somebody mentions the quality control of Talkshoe's service.
Chats open 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
Current episode:
10. Doctor Who's Mighty 200 - The Good (part 1). An episode intended
to discuss the top 10 Doctor Who stories as voted on by the Doctor Who
Magazine readership only had the time for stories 10 through 5.
Upcoming episodes:
Sunday 11 October 3PM EDT/Noon PDT/8PM BST - 11. Doctor Who's Mighty
200 - The Good (part 2). Stories 4 through 1 were expected to be
reviewed in this episode. Events concerning the new Doctor Who logo,
certain set photos and stories in the media, the passing of Barry
Letts, and other stuff could draw the show off course. Time will tell.
Sunday 18 October 3PM EDT/Noon PDT/8PM BST - 12. Doctor Who's Mighty
200 - The Bad. If the stories at the top of the list are finished on
the 11th, the current plan is to hit the stories at the bottom of the
list in this episode.

Two Minute Time Lord http://twominutetimelord.com
A bite-sized commentary and revew show. Host Chip's interest was
rekindled by the 2005 revival. He believes in balancing old fandom and
new viewers, respect for the past and breaking the rules. He tries to
keep his pontifications to 120 seconds, because we're ALL in a hurry
these days.
Current Episode:
#65 - Two Minute Miscellany (note - runs 3 minutes). Some news
headlines, feedback on the future of Who on TV, and Tony Lee has a new
comic coming out. Oh, and the controversy on the K9 trailer.

Staggering Stories http://www.staggeringstories.net
A wild, wandering podcast with Doctor Who and the other flavours of
the moment winding together roughly once every 2 weeks. The website's
main focus is on stories collected through the years.
Current:
Episode 55 - "Pick Of The Pits" - The Staggering team gives a look at
Quatermass, a concept that UK sci-fi fans are very familiar with and
US/Canadian sci-fi fans often have never heard of. The universe's
biggest escape pod is needed for the new Escape Pod Disc episode. The
team look at Doctor Who Magazine's poll of the Doctor Who stories.
Feedback. And so forth. All in the last Staggering episode where both
digits are the same till episode 66.
Coming Soon:
Episode 56 - "We Always Miss The News" - Due out sometime this
weekend, the latest Staggering Stories was recorded on Monday night,
when they knew that the new Doctor Who logo was coming Tuesday, but
had no clue what it looked like. Journey back to the simpler time of
last Monday, when life was very different.

The Flashing Blade Podcast http://www.flashingblade.org.uk
Tony Gallichan. Jo! One man, one woman. One with decades of Doctor Who
fan experience. Another who turns on the show when it airs on TV. One
has lots of cats. Another can say the word "news" in various amusing
ways. Together they unite for a weekly look into the worlds of Doctor
Who, hoping to make a TV show for the brain. Can you get feedback in
on their latest episode before they record their next one - good luck
with that.
Current episode:
18. Full Circle. Jo! has a real life! This may be bad news for her
ability to review stories - this time they just got through Full
Circle, with a Big Finish audio waiting for later. Tony and Jo! also
have an idea for reviewing the Sarah Jane Adventures - kid-submitted
reviews. (Two minute time lord rips his hair out as everybody seemed
to ignore a similar podcasting idea of his months ago.) The first
episode that has reached the drinking age in the UK.
Coming Soon:
Episode 19, recorded before most of this week's craziness.
Episode 20, which will probably get recorded in a few days, and be
well aware of the week's craziness. In the USA, this would be the
episode who is counting the days till it turns 21, can ditch the fake
ID, and drink alcohol legally.

Bridging The Rift http://bridgingtherift.wordpress.com
Katrina (Radio Free Skaro) and Nat bring the worlds of Doctor Who
fandom, Torchwood fandom, Sarah Jane Adventures fandom, K9 fandom, and
other areas together. Each week - a special guest co-host.
10. Tim Drury, Living In Second Life. Guest panelist Tim Drury guides
Katrina and Nat through the past and present of Second Life, and the
Doctor Who/Torchwood fan communities that exist therein. Also,
feedback on previous topics.
Coming Soon - Episode 11. It just hadn't come out at publication time.
I don't have time to recheck right now, but Warren of Radio Free Skaro
revealed that he is on either episode 11 or 12 of Bridging The Rift.

and the show's multi-generation appeal.
23 - A Bit Of A Filler. Feedback, Mastermind, graphics intended for
widescreen, etc.

Bigger On The Inside http://www.earth-2.net
Mike and Dan decide to do their own podcast exploring each Doctor Who
story in broadcast order. It is a very different style from
Jonathan's. Again - can they pull it off? Part of the Earth-2 family
of podcasts. Warning - explicit language (swearing). If your
headphones leak any sound at all - do not listen at work.
Current episode - 23. The Ice Warriors and Enemy Of The World. Dan and
Mike have a pretty good time with both stories, even with a bunch of
episodes still missing.
Coming eventually - 24. The Web Of Fear. One story to rule them all.
One story to guide them. And other stuff.

Hoo On Who http://hooonwho.com
Fan reviews of recent Doctor Who DVDs by David Hooie, frequently with
a guest co-host.
Current episode:
#14. The Caves Of Androzani. Well, eventually David reviews The Caves
Of Androzani. First he goes a bit off format to have an excellent
interview with podcaster/radio host Steve Glosson, host of SHoE, Geek
Out Loud, and the Big Honkin' Show. Also, David is planning a get
together with listeners at Gallifrey 21. Now, if I'm right about the
hot tub he wants to meet at, he may have to relocate the meeting to
the somewhat cooler pool just a few feet away - my memory is that the
hot one is rather small. Rest assured, there is a detailed review of
The Caves Of Androzani in the episode.

The Cloister Room http://thecloisterroom.com
Tom Dickinson begins a solo Doctor Who podcast effort with short shows
on short subject that get to the point, bulldoze through the point,
back up to ground the point down some more, then flee the scene before
the police arrive.
Current episode - 4. Requiem For A Drama. Tom returns after 4 weeks
away and looks at shows that are cancelled before their time. Is it
worth investing in a show that might soon (or has already) been
cancelled. Tom's view is similar to mine (yes, it is worth it), but
you're downloading Tom's show for his opinions on this.

Tim's Take On ...
Tim Drury's podcast on various issues. Available on iTunes.

The Big Finish Podcast http://www.bigfinish.com/podcast
Big Finish podcasts at least once a month to discuss their Doctor Who
and other projects (Sapphire and Steel, Stargate (!), Dark Shadows,
Bernice Summerfield, etc).
Current episode - September podcast. The show gets a bit back to
normal, with a lack of celebrity guests. Upcoming news is announced.
Thoughts are had. And I'm sure a mug of tea was drunk somewhere. The
Missing Season of Colin Baker stories is about to hit. Judge Dredd
audios are returning, along with the shocking reason why they went
away in the first place. These and other twists are covered in the
September Big Finish podcast.

Tachyon TV http://www.tachyon-tv.co.uk
Irregular and irreverant podcast looking at the world of Doctor Who
with a funhouse mirror and coming out the other side holding a plush
toy that wasn't really the one you wanted but you'll keep it anyway
because you can give it to your girlfriend to impress her. It's that
kind of show.
Current segment - a short appeal by "Rula Lenska".

MMM Commentaries/Fantragic http://www.mmmcommentaries.com
Roving Australian podcasting gang, including Trevor from the DWO
Whocast. Commentaries on Doctor Who episodes, Star Wars films, some
Stargate stuff, and others. The Frantragic episodes look at Doctor Who
and other sci-fi news. Fantragic episodes are on a different iTunes
feed from MMM Commentary episodes.
Current Doctor Who episode - Journey's End. If the description in the
iTunes tag is anything to go by, this running commentary on the Doctor
Who Series 4 finale will not have a happy ending.
