Ah there we are.

Okay, so while I don't have a definitive answer for who pulled the ring
off the Master's dead body, it is obvious in the trailer for "The End
of Time" that aired just after "The Waters of Mars" that Lucy Saxon
DOES make a return appearance, so it was likely her. My, she's
conflicted, eh wot?

If we're doing this, then can I bring up my theory as to how the Master
can return from deliberately choosing not to regenerate?

Basically, suppose there's some of the Master's skin cells on the ring.
Now suppose that ... somehow ... the ring is exposed to powerful
regeneration energies. And, since Lucy's back, lets suppose that she's
standing, oh, roughly where Donna was in relation to the Hand at the end
of "The Stolen Earth"...
