You mean the alien that killed everyone it contacted, posessed their
bodies, and had set its sights on Earth itself?

We believe so. We can always assume that because there are no answers
from the Alien entity. It just took its host over and that was it.
Even the Doctor speaking ancient Martian did not get an answer.
