Opening February of 1996, The Disney Institute will offer hands-on
experiences in a wide range of programs and activities, including an
extensive artist-in-residence program.

The wide variety of learning experiences at The Disney Institute will
include more than 80 hands-on programs in nine different program
"tracks": entertainment arts, sports and fitness, lifestyles, story
arts, culinary arts, design arts, enviroment, youth and performing arts.

Here's a brief look at each of these areas-


ENTERTAINMENT ARTS:

This program takes Guests behind the scenes and provides
first-hand experience in animated and live-action film, radio,
television, video and nightclub performance. Programs available
include:

This program track will include everything from beginning
aerobics to cardiovascular training as well as advanced clinics in golf,

PERFORMING ARTS:

The Perfoming Arts program will enable Guests to interact with
top artists in different entertainment fields such as pop, jazz and
classical music, comedy, dance and film through the Artist-in-Residence
program. Guest Speaker Forums will offer perspectives on topics such as
politics, business, science and technology, sports, literature and the
arts.

Artist-in-Residence and Guest Speaker Forum participants who
have already agreed to take part in the program include former Senate
majority leader George Mitchell; Bill Walton, Bruce Jenner, Franco
Harris and Lute Olson in sports; movie critics Gene Siskel and Roger
Ebert; television news anchor Walter Cronkite; actor Andy Garcia;
opera's Sherrill Milnes; blues artist James Cotton; singer/songwriter
Nicolette Larson; Miramax co-chairmen Harvey and Bob Weinstein;
composers Morton Gould and Hans Zimmer; and architects Robert A.M.
Stern, Frank Gehry and Michael Graves.
