I looked thru the archives and saw Lisa's notes on the Candy Cane Inn. I
just wondered if anyone else had any recommendations? Park Vue Inn?
Fairfield Inn? We'd like to stay someplace with queen beds, continental
breakfast, and preferably semi-close to the parks.
Any other suggestions?

Well, we've stayed at least twice at the Embassy Suites Anaheim North, which
isn't really close to the park at all, but they have a hotel shuttle or it's
a short drive by rental car. Breakfast isn't a continental one, but the
breakfast where you can get eggs cooked to order, etc., all included in the
room price. Having a good breakfast before you start out as opposed to just
having a sweet roll and coffee or milk makes a difference with kids.

Wow.the park vu. We stayed there on our Honeymoon in 74. First part
we had a huge room in the Disneyland hotel, overlooking the park with
a King sized bed. Then, to save money, we moved to the Park VU....to
a TWIN to sleep 2 people.with MAGIC FINGERS! WHAT A DIFFERENCE! It
was convenient to the park though...and by the time we got back each
night..the size of the bed wasn't even noticed...and the magic
fingers....actualy felt GOOD!
I'm sure things are different today. Or, maybe not!! ;)
I think you were experiencing high levels of oxytocin, that's the only
explanation for enjoying a twin bed in a motel vs. a king at the Disneyland.
As for "magic fingers" I won't go half the places I could with that, but
I will say you can get a free version if you marry someone who shakes
their foot while they are falling asleep.

That would be magic toes.

When we went, it was a once in a decade experience, so we splurged
and went Grand Californian.
Good time, that. :-)

LOL..after re-reading my post..I think I may have left the wrong
impression: I thought the Park VUE was a dive!! BUT, after full days
at the park, by the time we returned, we barely noticed the tiny bed
and the tacky magic fingers machine. BUT..it was convenient to the
park!
