Thanks for posting all your photos. The F&G ones are great
and I can't wait to look at the rest of your walks.

Oh, wow! Fabulous photos. It's really hard to get the right lighting to
capture the details on the topiaries, but these are great. And the
butterfly pics are amazing.
Laurie P.
I was really happy with the way most turned out - I tried to get a lot
of detail (I like the bird sitting on Goofy's head, and the rabbit
munching on the bunny foot). :) I ended up taking photos from near
ground level a lot just to make sure I got flowers in the photos too!
Goofy was the hardest, he's HUGE. I'm not thrilled with the lighting,
but I feel like a cheat if I have to photoshop much (weird, I know).

Yes, the bunny one is adorable! Last year I tried to photograph the
Cindy/Prince rotating one. I even returned at different times of the day to
get the sun from different angles, but none of mine captured the detail the
way yours did. Looks like the pirate ship was amazing, too. Those big ones
are always hard to photograph without a crowd blocking the view.
Laurie P.
The ship is beautiful. The only issue I have with it is Mickey's wand
bringing up the rear. I wish they'd take it down. :) I had a hard time
with the Cinderella/Prince one also, the first time I went I had nothing
I could use.
They aren't perfect photos, but I wanted to have something that looked
nice from the walks. I LOVE the Flower and Garden Festival.

LOVE looking at pics of Flower and Garden Festival.
love the butterflies and the bfly topiary.
Love the detail -even the back of the Beast is so carefully done.
Kudos to Disney for such a wonderful way with flowers and plants (and to
you, Denise, for sharing the pics with us.)
One of these years I'm going to make it down for the Flower and Garden
Fest and get punch-drunk on all the beauty of mother nature :)

Thanks! I also like how Disney details the back of the topiaries with
as much care as the front. This year seems bigger than last year to me,
really terrific and I love walking around. I can't wait to see Davy
Jones and Peter Noone! Both are such wonderful entertainers! You
definitely should come down sometime for the Festival. :)

Ellen :)
I'd been disappointed in the Flower and Garden Festival last year, it
just seemed smaller to me. This year has been great, it's just
beautiful to walk around (and I love Epcot to begin with, except for
that big wand!)

Shoot...I picked the wrong year to skip F&G! I was a bit disappointed
last year, so didn't make a point to go this year (plus we decided to go
to Maui in March instead!). I really enjoyed your photos, Denise - not
QUITE like being there, but very nice! As others have said, you got
excellent detail, especially on the topiaries. I was disappointed
that you didn't have any photos of the orchids outside Mexico,
though - that's always been one of my favorites.

Dear Ms. Gilbreath,
Thank you for your interest. We are sorry to inform you that Denise does
not take requests. It takes all of her free time doing the walks and
uploading all these photos to her web site and stopping for photo
requests from fans would put a serious dent in that schedule. We do
appreciate your comments however.
Please accept our best wishes for success in your campaign to make sure
that people do not call Disneyland Resort "the Magic Kingdom". It looks
like you have quite an uphill battle.
Sincerely,
JackM

The dates for the next RADP meet (RADP-XII) are October 12-15, 2007,
followed by the 2007 Holiday Meets on December 7-10, 2007. Schedule for
October is online at http://radp.org/radp12/
And I guess I picked the wrong year to go. :-) But since I'd never
seen it before, it was very impressive to me last year!

Hi Laura!
Thank you, that is very nice. :) The Festival didn't wow me at all
last year, but this year is wonderful! I am not sure where the orchids
are? There was some very nice flowers hanging where the wheelchair path
is, but I didn't like the way my photos came out.
I can take some photos of them after I get back from Europe, I'm just
not sure where they are! There were SO many details this year, much
more than I will ever get photos of. :)
I'll be back at Epcot when Davy Jones is there (2 weeks or so from now).
So just let me know, and I'll check out the orchids!

How funny (LOL)! Of course, Jack works for gratis because I currently
make like a few bucks a month off of Amazon. :)
The AKL photos were a request recently, that took me forever to find the
dirt piles out the window on the 5th floor! The big pile of dirt out
the Contempory was a bit easier to locate.

It's sort of like going to the WL at Christmas. If you haven't been,
it's lovely (and I still find it so). If you HAVE been (a number of
years ago), you'll lament that they don't have the gingerbread/train
display they once had.
But this is my favorite F/G in a long time, and Davy Jones hasn't even
made it here yet (or Peter Noone!) Maybe Charlie will be able to join
me for Davy Jones this year.
Denise

I never saw the train, but had heard about it. I was told that the
original chef had died, and no one had taken up the challenge of
creating an edible holiday display. A pity, since all the other
deluxes do it. But yes, I did enjoy the beautiful tree and other
decorations at the WL.
Patty
Lets see..Dec. 06 with DH, September '07 with DD,
yep, May '08 could work ;)

Ha! So Jack was *wrong* and you DO take requests! :-) Thank you -
that's very nice. I've never really thought about what "path" they put
the orchids on, but yes, it must be the wheelchair path. As you're
walking towards Norway, it's the path off to the left that goes back
into the greenery. I think there's a mailbox at the entrance to the
path? They have the orchids hanging and displayed back there among
all the other greenery...it's always been such a colorful and
beautiful display.
Hope you had a great trip to Europe! :-)
Flower and Garden Festival, my favorite season at WDW. Thanks for the pics.
Really enjoy the Flower Power Concert Series.

Jack wasn't wrong. Denise decided to take pity on poor Laura who just
*couldn't* fit in a F&GF trip this year because of Hawaii. Oh, the
sacrifices some people have to make. ;-p

Thank you, I am glad that you enjoyed them! I think the flowers will
still be beautiful at the end of the month as well. Canada is always
lovely as far as landscaping, maybe my favorite of all the countries.
Denise (just back from Europe and very, very tired). :)
