It has been many years since I have eaten at 50s Prime Time Cafe. It
was always fun but I just moved on to other places mainly Mama
Melrose's and Brown Derby for the Fantasmic Meal Package. So now I am
taking a first timer to the parks and want him to see the neat Disney
stuff.
I'm wondering if anyone here has been there lately and your thoughts
about the atmosphere now as opposed to the past. Reviews on Allears
seem mostly positive but enough negatives to make me wonder.
Your thoughts would be appreciated.

To my way of thinking, Prime Time is one of those places where it can be
an absolutely wonderful time or a complete dud, depending on (1) your
server, (2) your level of expectation and (3) your willingness to
participate in the shenannigans.

The food is good. I don't think it's the best on property, but it's
good and is really secondary to the atmosphere and having a great server
who is really into it.

My suggestion, since you're taking a first-timer, is to quietly tell the
host/hostess that you have a first-time guest and you really need a
great server who is "into" it. Tell them you are even willing to wait
longer to get a better server; that this is VERY important to you
...and I'll bet you'll have a wonderful experience. Have fun!

Love the food here. I would take Gloria's advice about the way to
make the experience more enjoyable for your guest.

We were there on the 30th of January this year. Had an absolute blast. We
all had so much fun that several were crying. . . happy tears. In fact, I
think my daughter-in-law even peed her pants from laughing so much. Don't
miss it!
