Yes, there are talks given in the Odyssey Restaurant; once in the morning
and the same one repeated in the afternoon. There are also tents set up
in both Future World and World Showcase giving either talks or demos.
There are extra-fee tours of the WDW greenhouses as well.

Yes, there are seminars and programs:
Disney Gardening Tips, The ABCs of Water Gardening, Backyard Tropics,
Cottage Gardens * Perennial Borders, The Artful Gardener-Planting for
Color, Great Gardens for Small Places, Great American Gardeners Lecture
Series, Home Hydroponics, Gardening for Food Around the World (Asia, Latin
America, Africa), Topiary Magic, Fun with Haning Baskets, Orchid Care Made
Easy, Cut Flower Care and Arrangements.
Not all programs are available every day.

And it's also very, very, very beautiful. You have to visit EPCOT in
this period of the year at least once in your life (in my opinion).
I attend the Topiary Magic seminar, and it was pretty interesting. Mind
you though that you don't leave with one, but with the ideas.

We've enjoyed the festival the past two years. As to the workshops, they were
very well done -- informative and practical. They also had lots of good
handouts so you could remember everything you learned after you got home.
I especially enjoyed the topiary and hanging basket workshops. The presenters
are Disney horticulturists, and as this is my daughter's major, we enjoyed
visiting with them after the workshops. If you plan your trip on the right
weekend (this year, it was June 4th if I remember correctly), you can also
enjoy the visiting artists who are set up and painting throughout World
Showcase. There are also good exhibits and additional workshops in the old
Oddyssey Restaurant building. Don't miss the floating gardens -- I think
that was one of my favorites!
