Speaking of Disney Vacation scrapbooks, I was just looking at my most
recent one this evening (from 9/98). I have made a nice album/scrapbook
from all of my WDW trips (5 so far). I never tire of looking at them.
Picking one photo is way too tough for me to do! I have soooo *many*.
I have one sitting right here in a Figment frame of me and two of my
friends from our last WDW trip. It was taken right before I was about
to head to the Orlando Int'l Airport to make the journey home (sigh).
We were at the Marketplace sitting at a table outside by the lagoon and
drinking fruit smoothies (Fulton's Crab House is in the background).
Normally, since I was to be *leaving* the World, it would *not* be a
very happy picture. More of a depressing one. But now, as I reflect on
it, I see myself just after I had had an exciting trip and had made many
fond memories. Also, it is the last moment I spent with my friends and
I will not see them again until this coming Sept. (a year later). They
live in Philly, PA and I live in So. Calif.
It's a great memory for me. And I'm sure I will have another scrapbook
of Disney memories after my next WDW trip!

I tend to take three types of photos on vacations. One type is just as a
reminder of something I saw or somewhere I went. This kind of photo is
special, but only to me. Then the second type is a photo to show others
what they are missing in turning down my requests for traveling
companions..:) Or to show to friends and family to try convincing them
that WDW is not just riding Dumbo around and around. This type of picture
is special but may take some verbal explaination and so I'll only have
that in a book for showing when I'm there. Lastly there are the "WOW That
is a perfect picture of....". I find one or two of these each trip. These
are good stand alone or web pictures. Normally it isn't planned, just
spotted when I'm walking along and see the right angle, lighting,
subject, etc, and <snap>. I actually got 4 or 5 of such pictures on my
Dec trip which I hope to stick on my web site after I figure how to trim
them down to size without loosing the WOW factor (most of them are most
effective in LARGE format).

That is so funny, I do the same thing. I will spend a great chunk of
my vacation time searching for those great shots. I take pictures
more to make other people jealous of my vacation rather than just to
remember it.

The vast majority of my photos are just for my memories. Of course I do
take a lot of these. Last December, in two weeks I shot 487 pictures. It's
a good thing I got that really good digital camera. I probably payed for
it just in film and processing fees on this one trip alone. :)
I experience similar ribbing from certain co-workers. <<groan>> What
they need is a magical WDW trip themselves. On second thought, these
people would probably not appreciate it the way we do. But then again,
maybe one little spark of Disney *magic* in the right place and at the
right time could make them see the light and forever transform them!
Stranger things have happened! ;-)

I've been working on my Disney vacation scrapbook and was wondering what
is your favorite Disney photo? The one that really captures how
you/family/friends feel about being in the World. I have a few, but the
one that always stands out for me is one of my little friend Rebecca,
staring up at the fireworks over Cinderella's castle with her mouth open
and her eyes huge. Her expression always cracks me up because you can
tell she's so excited. BTW Rebecca is 33 years old!

I have a few that I really love. Three of them are:
- My daughter (Jill) with "Cowboy" Chip in Disneyland's Frontierland. She
looks so happy, and the colors just seem very vibrant.
- Jill posing with the golden idol from the Adventureland Challenge. We didn't
win the Challenge, but it reminds me of the fun we had.
- Me, hubby and Jill at the Prime Time (taken by our waitress). Just because
it's one of the rare pictures of all of us together in WDW.
On our recent trip, I decided not to take *any* photos, because we were there
for such a short time. I'll make up for it in June, hopefully.

Like some of the others who have responded, I also have far too many photos
to list the rest of my favorites - but taking over 12 rolls seems a little
excessive! Be sure to enjoy the park while you are there as well as keeping
some memories to enjoy at home. Just my 2 pennies worth.
You can see some of my photos at http://www.emit.com/rl if you'd like.
There is a hilarious picture in my family album of my big sis and I meeting
Dumbo in MK. Next to her was an obnoxious nerdy kid who tried to follow her
through the park. Her "go away" stare is priceless -- hehehe --

Great pictures Randy! Love the castle shot:-)

Well, I just sent out 14 rolls from our latest land/sea adventure yesterday
for developing (I'm working on that TR, I promise :)). We were having
problems with our camera, so some of the rolls we took may only have 10 - 14
pictures (on rolls of 24 - 36). Fortunately, someone bought me a new camera
at MK as a birthday gift (we were thinking of going digital, but we want to
wait to get a better computer and printer first).
Well, back to the question at hand. My favorite picture was of me and Minnie
Mouse last November on E-Ride night. I was wearing My Minnie T-shirt and you
can see how much fun I was having from the great big smile on my face.
That's my favorite... so far. I'm sure that once we start having kids and
sharing WDW with them, the favorites will be pictures of the kids enjoying
the magic. --
