Sorry... Sunday got away from me...

Sunday. Usual walk (but much slower today...) and bfast. We left the
villa about 10:30a and headed to DHS. When we got there, my pass
worked!!! Yeah me.. But my joy was short-lived....

We headed back to get a light snack. We decided on Backlot Catering and
shared a chicken Cesar wrap. I have been pretty happy with the food here
and it's usually cool enough but the flies also seemed to really like it
too. Andy went to scout a table and lucky us... found one right next
to the garbage can! Oh well. While I was in line, I mused on why
people do what they do; Husband, wife and little girl maybe 18 months
ahead of me in line and the kid is in a Disney stroller. Mom offers
the kid cut up strawberries and the kid refuses. Mom opens a fig newton
kind of bar, kid refuses and starts to fuss.... It's just about Mom's
turn to order when Dad swoops in and takes the kid and goes off, leaves
Mom in line WITH the stroller! Now why not just take the stroller
too??? Mom gets her food on a tray and turns to leave, carrying the
tray in one hand and pushing the stroller with the other. Those Disney
strollers have a wide flat canopy that would be perfect for a tray... I
don't get it. End of mild rant..

After our snack we went to see the Muppets! Nothing changes there but
I love it and I think Andy always gets a chuckle too. We wait until
the last people have entered and we can select were I want to go...
Works every time.

After Bean Bunny ruins everything thing, we headed towards Star Tours;
Standby said 20 minutes and it looked every bit of that. Pass.

Ooooh, American Idol is about to start. Andy pops in his ear plugs and
in we go. I enjoy this one. It's ACed nicely, and the three
contestants were decent. One was really good and she won.

Then it was time for our late Lunch with Nick and Nora at the Brown
Derby. And it was great! A glass of wine, a nice meal and some berry
cobbler. After our wonderful lunch, Nick and Nora headed home. Sad
we won't see them for awhile...

We took the bus back to the villa; it was pretty hot out so we stripped
down, changed, did some laundry and headed to Epcot for the evening.
We didn't get to Epcot until almost 8p. I was hungry but nothing was
really hitting the spot with me. I tried one of the carnitas tacos in
Mexico; flavorless. And then a ham and cheese and apple panini thing in
Norway. Well, it was OK but I don't think I will do that again! We
were going to sit and watch RoE from the bench we like near the Odyssey
but that area is not a smoking nook. yuck. So we walked down and sat on
the low wall outside of the Style Church in Norway. Perfect!!!! Great
spot. Pretty clear in front of us and if I stand, I can see really
well.

And that was that! Bus came shortly after we got to the bus stop.
And the trip was over just like that...

Monday morning, we packed up, gassed up at the Hess by BWR and then had
a very nice breakfast at Kouzina's! I has the waffles with the
marscapone cream, chicken sausage that was really good, a egg and
coffee. Andy had sweet potato hash, eggs and bacon and coffee. That
fuels us for the drive home which was pretty boring! We finished
listening to a book on CD and should have been home about 5:30p but
traffic thru Atlanta was really bad. Usually it's not been an issue for
us to just go straight up but maybe we should have gone around this
time. We got to Publix about an hour late.. Dinner was a burrito for
Andy and a burrito bowl for me from Willy's.

I think this was probably one of the best most relaxed WDW vacations we
have had. Andy's health is so good and mine too!

Now it's time to start planning the September trip with the grand baby
who's going to be 4.5YO by then and he's ready. He loved the trip when
he was 2.5 and this one will be amazing!!!

Ciao!

Those Disney strollers are almost large enough to become their own
picnic tables!

I'm not a big AI fan (in fact, we didn't even watch it this year - we
watched The Voice because it's much more light-hearted and with less
artificial drama), but I do like this attraction. I think it fits in
perfectly with the theme of DHS and I hope it stays around.

Yes, they are and several times we saw guests using trash cans as stand
up tables and we have done the same....

I might try the Voice next year. AI was just dreadful this year but the
attraction I find fun. I still miss Doug and the Beats.. Anyone around
who remembers that was the original attraction in that theater/ I think
it was....

Thanks! darn auto correct (well, I can blame it on that...)

Finally the conversation moves from Bacon to the TR. I wondered if it
would happen....

Welcome.. Tomorrow we start the planning for the September trip. I
already called DVC and purchased the tickets for Mickey's Not So Scary
Halloween Party for us on the 27th. And I got park hoppers from
Underground Tourist last month.

Ciao! Lisa
