I didn't want to be left out of the fun so I booked our ressies today
too! Arriving late afternoon October 24 and leaving November 1. We
usually take the first flight out of Albany Int'l Airport but to make
it easier traveling with Princess Sara who will be three months shy of
3 years old we will take a later flight via Southwest, probably with
one stop. We'll take a nonstop home though. We are staying in a
royal room at POR with a river view, preferably on the first floor to
avoid schlepping a stroller up and down the stairs a gazillion times a
day (no elevators). Love that these rooms have queen-sized beds not
to mention the princess/royal decor! This will not be a commando
trip. It's just Grandma (me), Mommy (DD), and Princess Sara so we are
planning for lots of downtime. Already have tickets for Mickey's
NSCHP on October 31 and Sara will get to trick or treat in the MK.
She watches MM Club every day and would watch it all day long and
knows all the characters already. This should be fun. This is
actually the princess's second trip to the WDW. Time for DD to start
the spreadsheet with all the parades, fireworks, shows, and ADRs. We
both like the dining plan so we added it to our package. Since this
is Sara's last trip as a freebie she will eat from our plates and if
she wants a PB&J or hot dog we can pay for that out of pocket.
Looking forward to doing the FAWF again after missing it for a few
years. I'm just a little excited, can you tell?

Woohoo! I am sure it will be a lot of fun to be there with Sara at that
age.

We'll see. The terrible twos strikes intermittently.

Just remember, at her age, kids change a lot in 5 months. She may be the
sweetest little angel by then.

We will miss you by one day. Have a ball. I am sure your little
princess will love the special room. We took our then 2.5YO grandson
and his parents in September and just went when with the flow and he did
fine. Fireworks.. his introduction to them was at Epcot! It was scary
for the first couple of bombs then he relaxed. Of course his dad and mom
were holding him and talking to him softly. And I got to watch all of
this. yeah me!

Have a ball and don't forget about us little folks back here on RADP!

We're envious! We went with (almost) our entire family including our
grandchild this last January. We also stayed at the POR. We had a great
time and enjoyed the hotel very much. The kids really loved the main pool,
too. Have fun!

I'll be there at the same time with my husband, sister in-law, and grand nephew who's 10. We're arriving on the 25th--not sure what time yet--and leaving on the 29th. This trip is planned just to go to the Halloween party, which we're doing on the 26th. Going to the party on the 31st won't work out for us because that's a Wednesday and we kind of have to minimize time off from work, so just a short weekend. Plans are to arrive on Thursday, go to the party on Friday, and spend the weekend kicking around OKW before leaving on Monday. My nephew adores OKW and the rest of us just want to relax, so minimal park time is just fine.

POR is really our favorite resort. We are going to do like someone
else said and go with the flow. I've seen too many meltdowns from
sensory overload to put Sara through that so we will go at her pace.

I like your plan. Someday I'd like to take a relaxing vacation at WDW
like that and like Sue does and just keep the park times to a minimum.
