Caren
raining. The rain is starting to get some texture, so I suspect it'll
be snow by morning. The cats are all glad to see us.
This RADP trip was with Bernie (AKA King of Adventureland). Bernie
doesn't do Disney very often because he's not fond of Disney, dislikes
cute, doesn't really want to walk far, is not too wild about rides,
hates crowds, and suspects Disney is spying on him. But, as it turns
out, he really likes Old Key West, liked meeting all of you, and
enjoyed his side trip with our resident master of the box cutters. He
wants to come back next year.
I wish I'd gotten in more RADP time--between Bernie just wanting to
hang out and my tendinitis, we really got in very little park time at
all. I never got to do a lot of what I wanted to do--no Kim Possible,
no castle lights, and we viewed Illuminations through the trees from
our balcony at OKW. Still, it was a relaxing trip.

Now that is fun! I just went to an outdoor range for the first time the day
after Thanksgiving, up north of Gainesville (GA).
We already go to the gym at Celebration every other day of a WDW trip. If I
let Jay know there is a shooting range near WDW property, I may never see
the inside of a park again!

He must know that we can always use a RADP meet photographer. ;-) I'm
glad to hear that he had a good time when he was with us. I keep saying
that RADPers aren't strangers, they are just friends you haven't met yet.
I'm hoping that once they get back that lenniemc and Bashful will report
the same thing. I really tried to go out of my way to make them
(especially Kitty & Rocky) feel included. I hope I did enough.

Well, just remember to book a trip for next December and you can make up

It was good to see you and everyone again after quite a number of years.
It's been cold and raining here this week too. It may not be as cold as
where you are but 35 degrees yesterday morning on my way to work is pretty
darn cold for southern California! There was frost covering everything but
we don't do snow here. :-)

I didn't do everything I wanted to either. My day at MK was the day it
rained all day. Space Mtn was closed for technical diffculties. And the
pirates must have been taking a union break so I didn't get to see them
either.
All and all, I had a great trip. Don't think I've ever had a bad one. I
absolutely loved Kidani Village. Already planning on staying there again
next year. That 11 month booking window is just around the corner!

I am glad I finally made it to one of the OKW dinner parties. It was very
nice to see you and a lot of people (even Jack ;-) that I had not seen in a

Probably best to avoid driving past military installations and high-
value targets.
I was pulled-over once before crossing the Hoover Dam.
My mini-van was packed floor-to-ceiling solid after cleaning-out my
brother's apartment in Las Vegas.
Still, Bernie could sell tickets just to watch Bertha in action at a
firing range.
Could probably pay for your whole trip :)
I guarantee you that, anyone there would stop whatever they were doing
in order to watch.

Oookay. Don't recall doing that. Well, with around 30 or so people crammed
into a one-bedroom villa, it was kind of difficult to *not* be looking at
someone. I don't think those rooms were designed to accommodate quite that
many. ;-)

The 10th -13th is a bit later in the month than I like to go. I really like
the week-after-Thanksgiving thing that I've been doing the last three years
now. But... we'll see! :-)

Yes, Jack, you did - thank you! While I managed to say "something" when
approached, I was pretty useless at doing the approaching. If left to
our own devices, I'm not sure if anyone would have even known we were
there. Thank you - you, and Steve Russo (still don't understand how he
"knew" me!), and of course the Mighty Paragon, all made us feel like we
actually belonged.
And, as shocking as this is, we actually attended three different types
of meets! In addition to the RADP meet, I really need to thank you and
Laura and Deb W. for making us feel welcome and wanted at the AllEars
Hidden Mickey meet... and Bryan Ripper for letting me hold a microphone
at the "All About the Mouse Disney Podcast - Bryan gets Pixie-Dusted for
Give Kids the World" meet.
(Yes, okay, I admit it. I still "feel" incredibly bashful, but clearly
I can't call myself a "lurker" anymore.)
And again, thank you to *everyone* who said "hi" to me! I still found
myself very tongue-tied, whether it showed or not, so I hope you all
know how much it meant to me to meet you all in person. And apologies
if it seemed like I sort of "disappeared". I'm just as awkward with
"bye" as I am with "hello", so more often than not, we just sort of
drifted off. Both Rocky and I really did enjoy our time at the meets.

Don't worry about that - I think that's the way that most of us leave
meets - you say goodbye to whoever you're talking to at the time, but
there's no reason to make a big deal about trying to say goodbye
to everyone.
