--------------------------------------------------------------------
Up at the usual time, feeling a bit sluggish from the insane amount of
food I ate last night, but otherwise okay. We had breakfast (mine a
little on the small side), and headed for the bus stop. It took a bit
longer than usual this morning, and we ended up just missing the little
opening ceremony.
We did Big Thunder twice, no wait, thought about Splash Mountain but
chickened out. We just dont like getting wet when its cold outside.
(Yeah yeah yeah, were wimps.) Next up, Jungle Cruise (no wait),
followed by Pirates of the Caribbean (almost no wait). We hung around
and watched the Pirate Tutorial. Ive seen this a few times, but its
just so cute! This Jack didnt look quite as much like Johnny, but the
voice was really similar. And all the ones Ive seen really do a good
job with the Captains mannerisms.
Checked out the new Hall of Presidents, and enjoyed it. Like everyone
else, I agree that the new Obama audio-animatronic doesnt look quite
right, but its close enough for me. Did Mickeys Philharmagic, which
is another of my favorites.
Lunch at Pecos Bills, then a little bit of wandering and
picture-taking, and a tiny bit of shopping. We were nearing mid-day
break time, but decided to catch a bus to the Yacht Club, so I could see
the train display. On the way to the room, we stopped at the Screen
Door, and picked up my package from Wednesdays shopping excursions. I
had tried yesterday afternoon, but it wasnt there yet. Apparently
during the holidays, they dont guarantee next day delivery.
We took a little rest, and had a small dinner in the room. We usually
do this once or twice a trip, just to save a bit of money and because
sometimes it just seems more convenient. Seems like we did it a bit
more than usual this trip.
We decided that another evening at Epcot sounded nice. We really just
enjoying strolling around Epcot in the evenings, even if we dont
actually hit any attractions. (Thats another reason we love BWV so
easy to sneak out the back and walk home in the evenings. Even when we
dont feel up to much, well often just make one stroll around World
Showcase.)
I decided to give the margaritas another taste, this time trying the
fiesta one. Next time, I might have to try the mango it was pretty
tasty. And I already knew I liked the strawberry. However, I could
pass on the lime. (I had a rather unpleasant experience with lime
daiquiris on my 21st birthday.)
We stopped for one of Off Kilters sets something else I try to catch
every trip. I actually have all of their CDs. Rocky will listen to
the CDs, but clearly his age is showing because all he does is complain
about how loud they are when were at Disney. We also stopped and
checked out the new photo display in Japan. When did they take out the
Tin Toys? Must have missed the memo. The photos are beautiful, but
its not the most exciting display.
This was about all we were up for. Back to the room, and a good nights
sleep.

Just for future reference, you can order any combination of flavors that
you want - if you just want strawberry and mango you can get that
without the lime. (Strawberry and mango is what Lee usually orders,
too.)

Hmm, that's not good! I remember they used to make a big deal about not
letting you use the service if the next day was check-out. It sounds
like they need to make it the second day!

I try to stick to a low glycemic diet, so margaritas and other sweet
fru-fru drinks are usually off limits, but of course I always cheat a
bit on vacation (and once a month or so when we go to our favorite
Mexican restaurant). I usually order lime margaritas, but at home, I
make strawberry because lime needs to have a lot of sweetener added.
With strawberry, I can just use a little Equal or something, but lime
just never seems right with artificial sweeteners.

Hmm, I don't know if that's an age thing or not. I often find myself
wishing that some of these live performances could turn down the volume
a notch, but my wife loves it.

Who knows!
Need to know more about RADP (rec.arts.disney.parks)?
Good to know! I just might have to do that next time - thanks! :-)
