Do they furnish coffee packets?
Do they provide soap for washing machine?
Any other DVC specific details I should know?

6 days, 21 hours 'til my flight leaves for WDW!!!

All my answers are based on staying on points which means we don't get
daily maid service. There are usually two coffee packets left with the
coffee maker. My experience has been they're just OK but we prefer to
bring coffee from home. There are also a couple of packets containing
sugar, creamer, stirrer and napkin.

There's a small box of soap in 1 or 2 bedroom units (those with a
washer/dryer). Probably good enough for 1 or 2 loads.

What size villa do you have? There are some differences in what's
included. Studios have a small microwave, toaster coffee maker. You'll
get glasses and coffee mugs but the plates will be paper.

Larger villas have full kitchens with full size refrigerator, range,
oven, dishwasher, disposal... real plates, pots and pans,
silverware...

Any other specific questions?

Thanks, Steve.
I am staying with my friend, on her points, in a one-bedroom at Beach
Club Villas for 6 nights (then AKL for 3 nights, but I know the
amenities there :))
So without daily maid service at BCV, I am assuming the coffee won't be
replenished daily...

If you're not DVC (like me), you'll get daily maid service. Coffee is
left everyday, but I didn't use it. (I brought my own.) They even
leave you dishwashing detergent, so you can do your dishes.

I was in a villa, so no washing machine, and thus, no soap.

That is correct. IIRC, you will get replenished on the day of trash
pickup / towel replacement - but I wouldn't swear to it. As I said, my
recommendation is to bring your own coffee.

You know, of course, that you'll never be able to go to a hotel room
again.

It's the washer/dryer that hooks me when we are there for a week or
more and a one bedroom villa. Less than a week, a studio.
Compromises have to be made. We also bring our own coffee. And I
bring my own tea bags too.

It's the kitchen that did it for me. Give me a kitchen and I'm free
from the hassle of Disney dining.

Yes, they will replenish coffee on Trash/Towel day. But if you ask for
more coffee before that, I believe they will charge for it - so yet
another reason to bring your own!

I had packed some tea, but have now added coffee to the pile.
I drink it black, so no worries about creamer and sugar.

I like to turn the coffee pot on as soon as my feet hit the floor and
enjoy a cup while I get ready.

Thanks everyone for the responses!

You might consider taking a few 12 cup basket type filters, too.

Unless you like your coffee crunchy...

(I brought cone filters. Oops. I ended up using 4 cup basket
filters that I carry for making coffee on the road...)

There are several decent coffees that come pre-packaged in "filter
packs". You can use one or more based on the number of cups brewed and/
or how strong a blend you prefer.

Don't ya know it...
Several years ago I tried a 1-bedroom place instead of a studio and I
haven't gone back since. Love the extra room, the full kitchen, not
that I use it a lot and the turbo-tub and full size washer and dryer.
This is the best part of being a DVC member.
